Battery Problems

OK for some reason if I let my RZR sit say over a week the battery will become completly dead. Nothing is on the key is off and stereo what the hell is goin on? I put on trickle charger and it wont charge it it says abort. Also Ive noticed my battery light flashing severeal time while I ride a while I didnt know if it had anything to do with this. This time im goin to Wal Mart these batterys are high.

Re: Battery Problems

Wow went to Napa today and bought there battery and it was $110. Anyways would my battery tray being full of sand and mud make my battery die so early?

Re: Battery Problems

Odyssey's kick butt. Just waiting a reasonable amount of time before canning my '10 stock battery for an Odyssey. First sign of any issue and it's off to the recycling bin for the stock battery.

My stock one died after a hard day of winch use...I cut my battery tray out and went with a blue top deep cycle...no more issues running stereo with amp, lights and winch at the same time...

Re: Battery Problems

NAPA would likely be better than stock. Last Odyssey I bought was about $169. Pricey, but it's an AGM battery, can be mounted in any position, and really can pump out a lot of current and volts for a long time.

Re: Battery Problems

Re: Battery Problems

All Polaris vehicles should be stored with the battery disconnected, as the ECU draws a small amount of power even with the key off. The not so good factory batteries only compound this problem.

The only real fix is to buy a good battery, and keep it disconnected if the RZR doesn't see a lot of use. The easiest way to accomplish this without having to drag out a 10mm socket every time you want to disconnect/reconnect the battery would be to buy a battery disconnect.
