odyssey battery on razor?

I did it in a gen 2, i don't think that changed between the gen's. Post a pic of your battery tray and i'll tell you for sure. It has WAY more reserve then stock. It has more cranking power then your diesel truck battery so when it is running low, it'll still get ya going.

ok here are specs for the orbital, odyssey and Optima batteries you all are using. some manufacturers listed more info than others. keep in mind the odyssey 925 is half the size of both the optima and orbital batteries and half the weight. I am also including an odyssey model at the bottom that is the same size as the optima and orbital just to put things into propper perspective..I am probably biased as I use odysseys in everything and have had 100% perfect luck with every one I have purchased. I dont know how many of you want to haul around a full sized car battery under your seat in a utv ( LOL) but thats what both the optima and orbital are.

Make sure and get the 925L as it puts the positive and negative terminals on the same sides as polaris has it stock. I'll be ordering mine once I recover from buying the gps, power cable for it, amp, speakers, ipod, otterbox, ram mount for the ipod, and the amp cables!

did replaceing the battery (using the odessey 925) fix the problem of the low battery indicator flashing when running at night with headlights and stereo on?

Not for me. It helped hugely but just once my warning light did return. Riding at night with both stock & a pr. of 55W running lights on. Going somewhat slow but in HIGH gear. If I had been in Low, or going faster, I'm sure it wouldn't have happened.

RPM battery box is well made. Holds battery tight. Using full size Optima blue top 34mdc-8016. Plenty of connection options. High reserve capacity for lights, winch, ect.

read somewhere that someone used another type of battery that compares to the 925, the etx30L, it is almost half the price of 925
maybe a battery guru can comment?

Well.....I recently had a jobber that was stocking the Odyssey battery line "because they are so powerful". I argued with him that our were just as good and even did a little test to prove it. I carry with me a OTC 3167 battery tester that shows CCA's at the end of a battery test and tested both our ETX30L and his PC925. The results were 558 CCA's for our ETX30L and 502 CCA's for his "bad ass PC925". He was humbled......I was estaticnd qouted this"

before you go replacing all these batteries you might want to check the output of your alternator i have heard some cases of the alternator putting out way below what it is rated at. I also know they make a higher output alternator for the RZR that might be cheaper then replacing the battery when you have a perfectly good RZR stock battery just something to think about

Anyone know about the high output alternator, or the box relocation in the 09 as an alternative to battery replacement for low charge indication.

Hello, Ive been watching this forum for a while now and have made only madeone post in the past. That know one resonded to. I purchased an Oyssey 925L battery today. The cost was $158.45 including shipping from tnrbatteries.com. I have a RZRS on order and will add a whinch, lights, and stereo after I receive it. I've learned much information from this forum. Thank you for all the info. Hopfully this helps.

I have that battery. Same type and rating as the Odyssey but costs about $80 and is made in USA. I'm very happy with it and used the money I saved to buy a set of HID lights. With the money I saved by buying a Ranger battery box instead of the RPM box I bought a nice Grant steering wheel.
