Dead Battery

Well I guess I'm going to have to join the ranks of those of you who have changed your battery. My wife and I went riding at Uwharrie and the battery warning light was flashing after we had ridden only a couple of hours. I had the headlights on because we had a close call with someone when we first got there because of the dust. Needless to say, I was pissed when we had to cut our ride very short. I think it drained down so fast because the key was left on a week ago and it killed the battery. Anything I should be aware of while swapping out my battery? I am going to use an Odyssey 925L I think.

Re: Dead Battery

Sounds like a fun ride.

The 925 has side post mounts so you may need to cut a chunk out of the plastic box to make it east to attach things. I did it with a utility knife, made life a lot easier.

It fits nice and snug in the box. The hold down bracket will want to bow a bit, or you can add a few washers to the bracket bolts.

Of course nothing will make up for starting out with a mostly dead battery. The RZR does not charge very quickly, particularly when you are drawing with lights etc.
