i thought if you put a dimmer on a led you would shorten it's life dramatically ?

I tried to dim mine the hard way and it kept on ticking Nosed over a dune landed on the front bumper(I have the Thunderhawk radiator savor, and my bumper didn't move a bit!!!) and endowed I'm hanging from the harness upside down, and the lights are still on. Even the cameleon fiber optic whip survived the flip

I would say that the stock cages are junk, but it saved our a$$es.
