RZR high and low beam lights
I am awaiting the arrival of my RZR at the dealer here in Michigan and was thinking of trying to get it street legal here. One of the requirments is that it must have high and low beam lights with an indicator light. Does the rzr have high and low beam from the factory like the rhino or no?

Nope... and I'd call the stock lights very low beam.

Re: RZR high and low beam lights
Check out the kits for golf carts, they usually come with a complete wiring harnes, flasher, switch and bulbs...pretty easy update.

Yes they will accept a separate set of lights.

Re: RZR high and low beam lights
let's see High Beam Lights & Indicators ,Turn Signal's & Indicators , Windsheild (Glass) & Wiper/Washers, Rear Veiw Mirror & Side Mirror,
Lincense plate Light, Horn ,Tires & Rims. This Is What it takes to be street legal Had to fill out a tr-57 form had local officer do the inspection
went to secertary of state request a assembled Title it is now titled as an assembled utility vechile The Cost Well Tires are by far the most of the cost around $800.00 you could put 12" car tires on & save abunch but what fun would that be i would say at a minniun you will have at least 1500.00 in to it i have around 2500.00 but that includes at lot of extras fuse panel relay's muliti function turn signal switch
The biggest problem is if you have lien on the vechile the bank will have to agree to be on the new title. You are more than welcome to come on over and check out my rig i have mine and friend's i've made street legal

Re: RZR high and low beam lights
Sounds like all the stuff Polaris have had to do to make them legal here in Europe (apart from the windshield), might even be worthwhile contacting them to see if there's a kit that's available?

Re: RZR high and low beam lights
There isn't a requirement that the rearend isn't locked? I know that several states require any street legal vehicle to have a limited slip or open rearend.

Don't know how your requirements are worded but fortunately in MI it doesn't specify REAR diff. Apparently the front diff is limited slip so we get a pass on a technicality.

Re: RZR high and low beam lights
Oh and the differential requirement turns out to not be supported by any law. Somebody just took it on themselves to add it to the equipment requirements.
