Sure...
But people that mount 4 55-watt lights are using almost the same amount of power. I'm really curious to see how much light that huge LED bar puts out.

the point about keeping the fan from running is a good one..
i finally made an upper grill for mine but hadnt rode it with it..
a buddy of mine bought a new rzr and brought it over for its maiden trip (27" tires hitting the motormount and he needed to use my wheel spacers) when we got the spacers on we rode for about 45 minutes to a little tank near where i live and played around.. i noticed about halfway through he pulled up next to me and his fan was running.. it ocurred to me then that my fan hadnt ran yet that i'd noticed. so i payed attention to that for the rest of the playing around.. when we got back to my house, i left mine idling while we loaded his because the radio was playing.. it wasnt until he was almost all the way strapped down that my fan came on..
so there is something to be said for a grill.. i'd wanted to do it a while back but the grills that connect to the hood wont work on mine, it makes the fiberglass too thin and it would break so i cut the front off of my hood and made my gril permanantly connect to the body.

True. My point being that I was expecting a lot less draw out of the LEDs. That would somewhat justify the price.

I have a Pelican 7060 LED flashlight that just came out this year...
4.5-watt bulb on this thing! Brightest compact flashlight you can buy. That bar uses 3W LEDS, which I'm sure are still very bright. The newest gen LEDS are getting ridiculously powerful.
Here's a picture of just ONE bulb on my 7060 flashlight, at a distance of 36-feet...

I quess I am looking for the best bang for the buck. Don't really need to go extreem just make an inprovement and keep the cost in line. Is there any replacement bulbs that will give you an improvement?

The best bang for your buck, is an HID kit. The replacement bulbs don't really do too much. Most just change the "tint" of the light, with a light-blue film... but the light output still sucks.
I bought an HID kit on Ebay... guy had 100% feedback, and the kit was like $130 shipped. Here's some pics:
The light output is incredible, from just 2 bulbs...

There's two options... There's another kit for $41+shipping on Ebay, but you will have to cut the wires and make a splice connection, which isn't a big deal if you do it properly, but it's permanent. Bulb size is 880

The other option, is the plug-and-play kit for the RZR, with no cutting needed, so you can easily revert back to stock, or halogens if you need to...

I went with the second seller, because I didn't want to cut anything, and his feedback is 100%, which means NOBODY was unhappy! That's hard to find on Ebay...

I Just made my own Custom Light Bar, sense Polaris dropped the ball with theirs,
man it sucks. in the build page you can add the Hard-Top and Light Bar at the same time.
they will not tell you, you can't mount them together,
with out cutting up the back of your Hard-Top.
and it only Holds 3 Lights. My Custom Light Bar Holds 7 Lights.
One main R/C Light in the Center, 2 forward beams 2 Ally-Lights,
2 more back up lights that are set down in back,
lower to the top profile, looks cool.
I still wiring it all up. i am looking for the right plug, so as to be able to take it off, from time to time,
it is double clamped on both sides.
with out removing all the wiring too, just the light bar.
some of it has temp. wiring, just to see how it is all going to work.
The Remote Control for the main light
is mounted in the Steering Wheel.

i am well inside the 500 watt curve.
but not all the lights are on at the same time.
you use what you need, till the chase is on. then your turn on more as you need them.
HOG Hunting from the RzR is a blast.

Just installed 4-35Watt up top and 2-35 Watt on bumper. Put yellow top in place of stock battery. With new six on and stock lights on my low battery signal was coming on low and hi rpm. Did not go away when got to higher rpm. In fact the rzr ran like crap, started breaking up @ about 35 mph. Shut off my lights I added and it immediately ran fine and could get up to top speed w/o breaking up. I'm not sure on best option to be able to carry this load. Seeing most people say the hi output altenator, but no one has replied to peoples questions on its reliability in deep water/mud. Being in FL. that is a pretty common occurance. Any ideas? Someone also mentioned about having the stock altenator rewound? Would that possibly do it. The stock one has performed well so far in these wet conditions.

i have heard that it can be in the Voltage-regulator over heating.
the water can be keeping it cooler.
the more lights you have on at one time, can be causing it to heat up faster.
i only use what lights that are needed at the time, and i only turn on all the lights, in the chase of the hunt.
i am rigging up a few test to see if that is what is going on.
waiting on a special small high-flo blower i ordered to set up on the regulator, and see if cooling it lets me run with all the lights on longer.
i will let you know after i get hte blower and run a few test.
