Question...
I've been reading and reading the light threads to try and see If my plan will work without drawing too much juice... if this has been covered i apologize... I would like to add two PIAA to the front bumpers or two of the Hella FF50's... then i would like to add another Hella FF50 fog light on the rear bar to use as a backup light... so three lights total, two being switched and the backup light i would like to come on when the reverse lights come on, but I didnt know If you could splice into the wires going to the current backup lights without causing problems, worse case I would like to wire it so it will come on when the service switch is flipped. Do you think this can be added without drawing too much on the battery? or would this be fine? I dont have any other accesories running off the battery at this time.

Re: Question...
You will be fine with power. I am guessing the PIAA's are 55w? If so, you will be fine.

Re: Question...
Aye, everything will be 55watts, any idea on making an extra backup light work or think I should just use the service switch for that?

Re: Question...
Ya like Rockstar said you will be fine, just tap into reverse wire and use a good, close groun and there you go. Hope that helped.

Re: Question...
I tapped in to the service light switch in the rear, and mounted up some lights up on the roll cage as a back up/utility lights...I think I must not have had a good enough ground, I ran them a few times last night here and there, but I turned them on to provide some lights for some friends and after about 5 or so mins I blew the 15amp fuse on the light circuit...and had zero lights heh. Do you think I should just run them on its own circuit instead of tapping into the service light switch? I have them grounded at the roll cage...figured it would be welded or bolted to frame, but may just run a longer lead down and ground it at the battery, but If i do that I may as well run a few more wires and just put them on its own switch.

Re: Question...
Using a relay is really the only way to protect your RZR from accessories. If the fues for the lights and relay blow or go bad, your cars basic electrical system goes untouched.
I know a lot of the guys just run a seperate switch and tap into the system somewhere BUT by the time you add a few items here and there you're back to the same issue.
One vote here for a seperate power and ground cable, with relay box and fuses at each accessory.

Re: Question...
Aye, I was trying to go the easy route, I have a relay and new switch for it, but went with trying to use the service switch since it was already there. After I get it cleaned up I'm going to run direct from the battery with a relay, etc.
