Re: amp

I cant post a pic from here, I dont have any, but I can when I get home. I just got a 200w 2 channel amp, I heard anything larger requires other upgrades. And mounted it under the dash connecting to my ipod. I got 6 inch speakers that look like off road lights mounted on the cage just behind each seat on the cross bar.

They dont carry a whole lot of base but you can hear me coming 200 yards away Was a quick simple install. I am however thinking of relocating the amp to the under hood storage to ensure it stays dry.

Re: amp

I have added an amp to a few with 2 jl pieces....first is a master volume control and second is a source switcher/expander into a 2 channel amp and the polaris ovehead consule..I have found that with the overhead speakers it has a better presance. With the switcher/expander it allows you to have an Ipod and also Sat. radio.
The jl vol control is also a line driver

Re: amp

i forgot i mounted the amp up as high as i could on the pass side and its not even close to your feet.. mounted the spk on the back roll bar and got a jensen water proof stero mt and put it under the dash in the center but iff all you want is a i-pod any 2,3 or 4 ch amp will work i use 2 ch for the main spk and bridged the last 2 for the sub you can get a i-pod cable from raido shack ,frys, best buy, circuit city and plug the rca in the amp and use the i-pod volume and later add a stereo with i pod hook up later
