Not trying to nock your product, but the only problem with swapping out your stock bulbs are you blind everyone when you're going down a well traveled dirt/paved road. You'll know this when people passing by are waving with their middle finger. At least if you have bumper or cage mount, you can turn them off until needed.

Re: HID Special

boatnaz,

Have to agree an disagree, yes bumper or light bar mounted lights can be turned off, for the viewing pleasure on up coming traffic, but most auto's have very similar lights from the factory and most are use to them.

This set up seems to be more popular to the duners. I agree if you are driving in a well traveled road they may not be the best idea. We also have mountable light and nice brackets to mount them with.

I have seen some pretty bright lights on some of the newer vehicles but my dad and my brother have two bumper mounted hid's that will light up the side of a mountain and I haven't seen any factory vehicles that bright. We're at the dunes all winter and I agree they work great out there, but we also ride alot of the roads up north during the summer and you end up on pavement sometimes or when we go to Rocky Point. So IMO, having the choice of on or off is great for people like us that do more than the dunes.

Re: HID Special

I don't see much head-on traffic where I ride so I wasn't much concerned about offending anyone. I failed to consider the riders ahead of me, though. Last weekend I got a couple comments about how bright my lights were in their mirrors. No actual complaints--but maybe they were just being nice.
