New Years Aftermath
We got back from Glamis late Tuesday after spending 4 great days out there.
Saw a lot of RZRs and talked to a few of the owners that were around. I saw BROWNALE’s RZR (nice graffics by the way) at one of the vendors we waited a while to talk to him but he didn’t come back before we left.
I decided to put Dune Stars on all four corners. WOW what a difference. We went faster, didn’t burn nearly as much fuel, and felt much safer in the dunes. I saw several with the Paddle Smoothie combination but never got to go ride with them to see what the real difference was
We road hard through the dunes putting close to 15 hours over the 4 days on the RZR. We went all over the place and few places we probably shouldn’t have but did anyway. As such the wife and I did a nice little sideways double roll down the side of a dune.
No one was hurt but boy am I glad I put 5 point harnesses in. IF you don't have them I would strongly recommend getting them. PM me if you want to know where I got mine. The only damage the roll did was my flag and some how I broke the bulb in the driver side tail light. We pushed it back over with some help from our friends and went on our happy little way.
Now for the list of repairs fro mteh weekend:
Broke the rear Sway bar on the RZR on the passenger side right at the bushing. If you didn’t know (like me till now) the rear sway bar is not solid spring steel but welded pipe. Pipe doesn’t twist to well. (I posted this on the Suspension Thread as well) I am sure this will be a recurring issue and am sure this contributed to the roll over as well as the grade.
Split the Rubber Bump stops on the front shocks.
Generated leaks in the axel seals in both differentials.
Found an intermittent clicking noise coming from the fuse box when in driving forward.
Play hard break hard work hard to pay
I can’t wait to get back out there.
Will look for and probably post our trip plans here to see if we can coordinate a get together and ride over Presidents day weekend.

Re: New Years Aftermath
Awesome!
You can post where you bought your 5 points in the open forum here.
I'm curious as I've just started looking and can'r decide between a 4 or 5 point harness.

Re: New Years Aftermath
Russ Sommers from Simpson hooked me up with a 2.25" x 2.25" 5 point harness with sewn in pads. It takes a bit longer to get strapped in but well worth the extra effort.

Re: New Years Aftermath
i would definately use the 5 point. if you dont use the fith point the lap belt will ride up on you and not protect you in a rollover.
i just ordered some 3" lap, 3" shoulder(with sewn in pads for comfort) and a 2" sub strap from Crow Enterprizes they were $100 each set. i use the same thing in my Rhino and absolutly love them. they are very comfortable.

Re: New Years Aftermath
I bet John does. He has a section here, maybe ask him there in case he doesn't see this.
Or maybe call him. 623-934-3070

Re: New Years Aftermath
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. But yes it is stock. It seems to have handled it very well. If I had been in hard dirt, higher speed or and front end over it probably would be a slightly different story.
