Just did it T-Giving, drove down the sand hwy tell Gecko then duned to Olds had 18 miles on the od!!

I've done that ride several times. One of those vendors by the beach store makes a great Philly cheese steak. It is about 20 miles up to sweet Marie's. Then another 6 or so over to the wash side.

Doing a little research here for our new years trip...
How easy and far would you guys think it is to hit gordons from wash 23 at glamis..... would yall trust just heading straight out into the dunes? i have a gps program for my iphone I guess I can try to put in the coordinates on the ISDRA website Ive done gordon to sand drags at Gecko via sand hwy years ago and it was easy but I want to head straight to gordon from wash 23. It cant be that far or tough right?

Any riders found there, could give the tree huggers, ammo, causing a negative impact on reopening. And maybe get you a big fine/bike getting impounded. Almost the complete center of the south half of Glamis is closed a little south of China Wall/hill 5. You'll have to go west from wash 23 to China Wall, then go a little south, and find the out of bounds markers. Keep them on your left side and go west till Roadrunner where the markers stop, then you can go south in the small corridor that is open to Gordons... Gecko rd to wash road = 7 miles hwy 78 to hwy 8 = 20 miles At wash 23 you're about 4-5 miles down wash rd. Roadrunner is about 5 miles down Gecko  jmo
