Tire Pressure
I just bought a Rzr recently and still have the stock tires.
My question is for riding in the sand dunes, what tire pressure is recommended?

Re: Tire Pressure
Hi Kris, WELCOME to the RZRForums!!
I'm no tire expert but I dropped mine to 2 pounds when I was stock and seemed to do all right, I can't wait to see the different answers here.

Re: Tire Pressure
I appreciate the response. I'll be trying to get in as much time I can get there before it gets too hot down here!

Re: Tire Pressure
I think the tire press. depends on how new and stiff the tire is! I tried 4psi and they were still to stiff. So i kept letting air out til they started to bulge slightly and all the treads were in the sand, when i got done the psi was 0. Once the tires got worn had to start adding air. Now i run around 4psi.

Re: Tire Pressure
Not sure if this is applicable to stock tires but there is a balance between lowering tire pressure and the risk of knocking the tire off the wheel.
The stockers probably have a pretty strong sidewall, but if you get paddle tires, beadlocks are mandatory in my opinion. Found this out the hard way with a nasty rollover. Coming up out of bowl in Glamis the downhill back paddle tire rolled up the wheel and caused the RZR to flip over twice. Mind you, this was during some very aggressive driving.
