According to the ASA Facebook page, the dunes will be open and the rangers will be on site. They will not be selling passes.

Bambam, I'm headed out next weekend. Could you update us when you get out there on the status of the dunes and how it went for you. We have a large group and some are coming from far away, any info you could provide as soon as possible would help...thanks

Re: Will Government Shutdown Affect Dunes Access?

I heard some are open and others are shut-down

Some went to sand-mt today so I guess its open, but there is no-gates there

If there is no-gates to shut-down, than its open it seems

The feds manage the shasta trinity forest and its open

but again no gates here to shut-down or lock you out of your land

Instead of laying-off 800 Thousand federal workers

We the people have to vote out the 435 that control the House of Representatives

You are only Remembered in Life, By your Kindness
