Can I add something to your list? What about exhaust, after my first ride my exhaust was caked with brown mud and had to scrub like crazy to get it off.

For your seats, try some automotive leather and vinyl cleaner. Tires, some spray 9 or other multipurpose cleaner and a good scrub brush with alot of elbow grease.

One way to clean up the exhaust is with WD40 and a brillo / scrubbing pad. Sometimes the back of a dish washing sponge will work as well for this. Of course, DO NOT clean with this when the exhaust is hot (just have to mention that).

Ya I use Spray Nine a lot. Works great for those dry, set-up mud stains.

Dawn Dish soap. I mix it in an old 409 bottle.

A wash following every ride is the best solution to fix this problem. It's a hassle sometimes but be sure to make it look nice and clean within 24 hours to keep your ride looking sweet!

Re: how to get mud stains off seat and plastics?

I pressure washed my exhaust and the mud came off and showed a nice pretty rust color..

My seats I just scrubbed with soap and water and my black plastic..I sprayed with armorall and it keeps it shining like knew..

I also hand wash with soap and water after every ride

Re: how to get mud stains off seat and plastics?

I've never had my plastic stain and i have the white factory plastics.

My black areas start to look bad. I usually just wipe them down with a groits garage 'speed shine' its a spray on quick wax, that works awesome. Does not build up a waxy film.

As for the exhaust..i gave up, mine looks like chewed bubble gum. i really need to get in there with a wire brush...
