Hey guys have any of you had to adjust the tow in or out on your rig from the factory, mine seems to be a little off, does anyone know the specs on this

here is the best way to set toe. Starting in the back, use a grade string or cotton tying twine and stretch it tight all the way around the tires. center the string over the center of the hubs. ensure the steering wheel is straight and set toe to be 1/16 to 1/8 toed out. The string will show a gap at the rear of the front tires, make them even. If you don't use four wheel drive, you can set it to 0 to 1/16 toed in.

wow Todd, THANK YOU for this techinque. I had to replace my steering box a while ago and I don't think the alignment has been right since. A question though, isn't the width of the wheels different from front to back?

Any body in the phoenix area should call Scott at Network Alignment off of Cave Creek road (12639 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix. (602) 867-8061) He is a long time duner and has a bunch of LT SxS's and really knows his stuff. I swear I picked up 2 - 3 MPH after he aligned my RZR and he reduced the push in the corners.

Ok, when alignment is done and the rzr is level the toe out is supposed to be 1/8 inch but when elevated then the toe on mine goes in, a bunch and upon stopping the front drops and you go to toe out did anyone else realize this? Thanks Greg

Yes, the toe angle will change with ride height is should be set at regular ride heightwith all four wheels on the ground, the geometry of the A-arms help with the varying toe angles.

Hey this information was of great value. My 2010 was way outta whack. Left front was about 1" toe out and the right was about 1/4" toe in. Steerwheel had to be about 30 degrees right to go straight. I dialed it in in less than 15 minutes.... Thanks for all the good poop guys.

when rideing in sand my rzrs goes from side to side trying to follow tire tracks, I mean it really goes from side to side . can you guys tell me if this is normal or is my alignment way out of wack. Thanks

Randy, a little moreinfo, what tires are you running and pressure? Is your suspension stock or modified?
If you expectthat you toe-in is off, you can visually tell if it's pretty close just by standing in front and looking. You didn't move or alter you tierodsto the top of the spindles did you?
In sand you not going to track like you are on hardpack. I like to equate it to like being in a power boat and going over and thru wakes. It can get a bit of time and miles to get used to, thats why I cherish the days were the sand is smooth,

Hey John, Thanks for your help on this... I am bone stock as far as tires and suspension. I have a new 2010 RZR-S with the stock BigHorn tires. I did get some paddles for the rear 25x10x12. I haven't done anything to the tie rods (except adjust them). I followed some of the treads that suggested using a string to run around all 4 tires, setting the steering wheel so that the spoke in the wheel sets at the 6 o'clock position and then the back of the front tires should be close to 1/8" away from the string. My alignment was way off, the left tire was over an inch inside the string and the right tire was pushing the string out about 3/8".. So I just adjusted to keep wheel straight with the back part of the tires about 1/8".. I am going to Glamis on Wednesday for the first time in the RZR so I'm really pumped about trying it out....

All good info but something has not been mentioned.
My RZR had the steering wheel off center some when new and I had the dealer adjust it.
Really what happened was they straightened the steering wheel center position but at the expense of my overall steering capacity left to right.
In other words from center, steering should be a full 1.25 turns either way.
As mine was set it was less one way and more the other.
I had to remove my steering wheel in order to clock it correctly while I had the tie rod ends off of the spindles.

Unless your running in 4wd all the time, the closer to 0 to 1/16 toe IN the better you'll turn at speed. Just an FYI. It does help in the sand.
