Re: Help!!! 2008 rzr800 good buy?

i really only have around $8000 to spend on another toy. i sold my quad and mustang to get the money i have now for one. i did find on the website racersam listed one for $7000. its on 08 with 1200 miles 124 hours. has rims tires snow plow and steering arms. would that be a better deal than the other 08 i listed?

Re: Help!!! 2008 rzr800 good buy?

this one had several accessories and is yellow, only made them one year. looks real good. very low miles. I would spend the extra $1000 on this one.

I like to meet the people that own the toys. I think you can tell a lot about the care and condition of the toy by visiting with them. Check out the condition of their house and vehicles. With the miles to hour ratio it has not been driven fast.

Re: Help!!! 2008 rzr800 good buy?

I agree with most here, although its not a great deal I think it's fair. I don't think you will be able to touch a clean one for under 8K. Go look at it, pull the airfilter and see if the inside of the TB dirty

Re: Help!!! 2008 rzr800 good buy?

Bought mine with 1200 3 months go.. and have 1800 on it now. Lower the better.. 3000 would be my max to buy if the price is right, but I'd rather be no higher than 1500.

Re: Help!!! 2008 rzr800 good buy?

I think its a good deal. Also, like what was said before, it depends on "your area". I looked for about 3 months before I settled for mine. I finally figured out (also like what was stated before) that its hard to find anything decent for under 8k. At least that was in my area. Hell, I was still seeing '08's standard RZR's with 1000-2000 miles going for 9k and all they had was maybe wheels and tires. They'd be on there for maybe a few weeks.

I gave 8k for my 2009 with a 2" lift, some ugly STI wheels and decent tires. It had 620miles and 124hrs on it and been maintained well. I felt it was a fair price. I think if its as clean as you say and has been maintained good, seems like a good deal.

Re: Help!!! 2008 rzr800 good buy?

Id consider saving up. As some posted a new 570 is only 9-10K NEW....The RZR you are referring to is possibly 5years old now.

If you can save and swing 10k, you can even look into the RZR S terrority..... just my opinion. I wouldnt settle with an "OK" machine over saving for a few thousand.

Re: Help!!! 2008 rzr800 good buy?

Yeah I really don't want a 570. I know there almost the same but I'd rather have the 800cc. And I don't really want to spend 10k on a side by side. I'm only 19. I work but not much and about to go back to college. I drive a Toyota on 38s. So I need to buy a car too. So 8000 is theist I'm spending.

Re: Help!!! 2008 rzr800 good buy?

Again, sounds like a good deal. Go look at it, pull the filter, check the throttle body like what was said before. Bring about $7800 cash and be prepared to walk away, lol. It's a lot different when your holding that cash in your hand.

I understand where you are at. Im 25myself. Not trying to talk you out of
It. But these things require lots of cash. Lol. You will want upgrades. Then maintenance. Tires. Wheels. Winches. Etc. Not counting tow vehicles and fuel. the $8000 you have will go quick!

Re: Help!!! 2008 rzr800 good buy?

Yeah I definitely will want to start buying parts. It has the bighorns already on it. I'm wanting to buy one cuz I sold my 450r. And don't really have anything to ride anymore. And that's never good lol

Re: Help!!! 2008 rzr800 good buy?

I think you can do better. Thats what I just give for my 09 with 600 miles but it had aftermarket wheels 26in bighorns, winch, full enclosure, front bumper, rear bumper, and S flares. I searched 2 months before I found the right buy just takes a little patience. Almost pulled the trigger 2 or three times prior to buying the one I got and I'm glad I stuck it out and waited for what I wanted.
