Not alot of info available yet and everyone that I know that goes there didn't go yesterday.

I have only been there once . Its a pretty cool place if you like alot of mud. Although you sign a wavier and best I remember the rules that are posted state you have to wear a seatbelt and no drinking and driving about all you see is very few with their belts on and alot of drinking. Not saying these people were doing anything wrong but rules without enforcement are pointless. I even had one guy laugh at me when I was putting on my harnesses. I blew it off and went on my way strapped in tight. Sad for the families of the man and woman .

Exactly what I say, before you do anything to your utv, do cage, harnesses and doors. If that would have happend, I bet the lives would have been saved. Sure is sad to hear about deaths like this.. Prayers to family and friends

Let him laugh... the only time I don't put my harnesses on is when going across an area when I'm doing 5-10 mph. If I'm riding, I put it on.

In fact, there was a post on here recently about someone who says they even put their harnesses/seatbelt on when loading because he had some freak accident and almost got hurt.

Confession: I have NEVER used my belts in my RzR. I have even entertained the idea of removing them all together since they don't work anymore. After reading this post and hearing from others....I'm about to order a 5 point racing harness and install it.
I love my family and friends. I'd really lake to enjoy the remainder of my life with them happy, un-scaved, and healthy. Thanks guys.

The two that died were thrown from the vehicle I thought. The 2 that survived jumped out of the vehicle.

I agree on staying put and harnesses. I think they should come standard in all SxS's with power they all seem to have now.

Ejections are somewhere around 90 % fatal if memory serves me correctly. I'm sitting here trying to remember back over 22 years as a Paramedic the last time I found a person ejected from a vehicle who lived and I'm coming up blank.

I wrote this three times and this is all I can come up with that's civil. Its so easy for me to start preaching and these folks don't deserve that so I'll just say that it is truly sad and my heart goes out to the families of these folks.

I was there last night but was a few hundred feet away when it happened. David Allen Coe was playing so the park was packed.. Dewey and Tiffany Riggins are the deceased and I believe it is a father and daughter. Very tragic and I feel for the families. Many people witnessed it first hand so I think this was a wake up call for many about how quickly things can happen.

Very sad. My prayers go out to the family.

Do you know what happened? Was it a freak thing or just not being smart? Regardless it's horrible but sometimes stupid people do stupid things.





I understand... when something like this happens, you just want to scream at people trying to make them understand. I'm sure in your business, you've probably screamed in your head at people enough.








X2.... I'm not a safety nazi and I don't like being told I HAVE to wear a seatbelt, etc, etc... however, in a rzr if you ride like most of us do, the LEAST you should do is wear a seatbelt if not have harnesses. When shit happens, it's unexpected and a harness may just make the difference between you eating your food through a straw or a worst outcome.

Harnesses would always be my first mod in a rzr or UTV.

In the "Pit" where it happened there are many steep inclines ranging between 20 to 30 ft. Some are extremely dangerous in my opinion because when people get hung up on the top they kick out all the sand and leave a near vertical incline. Since they rolled backwards I'm guessing they were heading up one of these when it happened but I'm not positive.
