Custom paint.

I was wondering if those of you who have custom paint on you RZR could chime in and tell us how it is holding up. I am getting pretty serious about painting mine but I'm a little apprehensive that it will crack or just scratch too easy. I'm interested in the rattle-can guys too. Don't be afraid to post pics.
Thanks jeff-

Re: Custom paint.

I would vinyl it. Its nice in 2 ways, one you can remove it and change to something else. 2 its easy to make w.e you want a good price. 3 it can be removed if you go to sell it and someone doesn't want it.

Re: Custom paint.

If you are looking to paint your plastic simply have your shop add flex additive to their mix and you'll be fine. I personally use PPG products therefore DX814.

Here is a list of a few brands:
PPG - Universal Flexibilizer, DX814
Dupont – Plas-Stick® 2350S Flexible Additive
Akzo-Nobel – U-Tech LV Flex Agent
Sikkens – Autocryl Elast-O-Actif, 386100
Spies-Hecker – Elastic Additive 9050
Standox – Standocryl® - 2K Mix 005-2K Plasticizer
Sherwin-Williams – Multi-Flex® V6V299
NAPA – Urethane Flexible Additive 3084
Lesonal – Flex Additive

It looks like your riding the dunes from your pic, I don't see how you'll get scratches in the open. If by chance you're riding the woods you'll need to consider paint protection for the dreaded branches. socalrs4 makes a good point.

I completely wrapped my Nuclear Sunset in 3M Smart Shield Paint Protective Film, when the film and paint outlive their shine I'll paint with flex add and chip guard.

If you have new plastic a couple hundred dollars of 3M Smart Shield should keep your RZR looking new for a long time and save yourself a bunch of $$'s over the price of a new paint job. If your plastic is old and already has imperfections I'd suggest not using the film. If your RZR is painted already I'd highly recommend 3M Smart Shield.

Of course a ROLL OVER changes everything.
