Re: Roofs

Guess it depends on what type of riding you do. I have a hard plastic polaris roof. If your going to do alot of trail riding absolutely the hard roof will last alot longer and offer more protection. I have my stereo bolted to mine and works great.

Re: Roofs

I have a j-strong roof with stereo and love it. As stated above it depends on where you ride. Hard roofs will last longer and are trailerable(think the soft roofs need to be removed when hauling). Also better at keeping the elements out and more durable IMO.

Was looking at emp and jmb roofs. Just not sure if the jmb roof will work with a full windshield.

Hey Grizz! I know you from Nyroc, (Scionizer). Hope to meet you at snow shoe soon. Get the hard top! Nice when you are bashing through lower branches!

Re: Roofs

I have a soft top. I like that I can take it off on the trail and throw it in the cargo box if I want to. Cant trailer with it on, which kinda sucks, but it only takes a minute to install or remove. The trails I ride in WI are pretty well maintained, actually to well maintained, so I dont get much for branches hitting it. Im not saying its better or worse than hardtops, but I like it.

If/when I get a hardtop it will be a cooter brown from emp.

I like my Polaris Oem aluminum roof. Gives a nice look and I had the bare aluminum powder coated black to better match my color scheme.

Re: Roofs

I use the Polaris Soft Cab system all year 'round. Just take the doors off when it's warm and we have the top and rear window in place.

You need a w/s, a top, and a rear window to keep the dust in the rear cargo area and out of the cab and air intake port.
