Usa bed cooler/storage/fuel setup

i wanna put together a good rzr s bed setup that will include a decent size cooler, a gear storage box that wont fly open if it gets rough and extra fuel.
i know i could just but all those indiviual thing and bungie/ziptie it all back there but i want it to look good, be mounted solid, easily accessible, and did i mention not look like crap? i would love to see some of you storage wizards and your setups (pics preferably) so i can an idea of what to do?
thanks guys,
troy leitner

X2, I've been trying to decide on a clean but usable cargo area setup for my S as well.

Re: bed cooler/storage/fuel setup

I use a Lock and Ride Box in the Center, Lock and Ride Fuel Can Holder on the Drivers Side, Soft Sided Polar Bear on the Drivers, holds a Case of Drinks! And on long trips I have a Lock and Ride Cooler Rack that Locks down on top of the Lid of the Lock and Ride Box and in it there is a Action Packer that is permanently attached to the Lock and Ride Cooler Rack. In the photo you can see the Action Packer on the back of the Sportsman in the back of the Photo. Click then Double Click the photo to take a good look. And I highly suggest to first take your bed off and install a full aluminum plate under it to create a added heat barrier to the Bed. It is simple to do, takes less than a hour to do and will stop all the heat getting to your bed. I am sure a Vendor somewhere sells a ready to add one. I just used a piece of aluminum plate and now the bed stays cool. Before you could not put your hand on the bed floor behind the passenger, and that is with stock exhaust.

Re: bed cooler/storage/fuel setup

Here you go-

That is an Igloo 120 qt cooler there, it has essentially the same dimensions as the inside of your cargo box, and fits tight enough it really does not need to be tied down.

I was about to throw it out because the hinges were giving out when I tried it out. Big enough for a lot of gear, and a smaller cooler inside as well. Protects contents from bed heat, and a brand new one is about $85.00 at Costco.

i just took the back metal rack off of our Sportsman 500 and took 2 pieces of angle iron and attched them to the bed..took the gas can holder and attached it to the rack..rode 560 trouble free miles on the Piaute last yr..small cooler fit into the curved part of the Tamarac[?] box..used a duffle bag under neath for rain gear and xtra clothes..thats the same box i've had since 1997 and is still has out rode 4 different 4wheelers and over 5000 miles in Utah

Looks nice. A little pricey though IMO
