it was effective at keeping dust out of the air you were breathing, and was able to wear it with out discomfort for extended periods of time.? Is that what your asking?

We sell RZ Masks, they work great! The metal nose piece is adjustable for comfort. The Wolfsnout is another great mask. I think it is just personal preference... Both do the job of keeping the dust out well

Re: What's the best dust masks? Rzmasks or ??????

+1 for the Wolfsnout.

Tried the RZ Mask, and found it to be hot, dust leaked in the bridge of the nose, and when I tried to close that gap it made it more difficult to breathe. It interfered with the goggles, steamed up my glasses, filter bunched up and made my face itch. Want to buy mine, cheap? I still have one brand new filter for it.

Tried the Wolfsnout and loved it. I prefer the "All Sport" one that has a strap. I have difficulty breathing through my nose but the wolfsnout pushes upward against the nostrils from below which does not interfere with breathing as much as a mask that pushes down on the bridge of the nose (for me). The dual-density foam filtered the dust pretty well (still got some in my teeth but it was VERY dusty and I was the 8th RZR from the front). It covered a relatively small area of my face so I didn't get as host and sweaty as with other masks.

The strap slipped a lot when I moved the mask around during breaks, but I had an early model with a thinner strap. I'll be getting the newer one with thicker straps for my next trip.

Regarding how it looked: I got a lot of questions during the Wallace ATV Jamboree about my dust mask. Mostly it was people wearing bandannas over their mouth/nose, and wanting to know what it was called and where they could get one.

Re: What's the best dust masks? Rzmasks or ??????

Wolfsnout is a totally different approach than the modified winter ski mask types.
I tried all of the others before inventing the Wolfsnoiut, they did not have the rz mask, only the respro techno, very similar. Anyway, none worked for me, so I went to work to create something that was easy to breathe through and comfortable. I was racing hs here in GA., and it gets really hot. So the Wolfsnout was born. Over the last four years hundreds of racers and over 10,000 riders have used our product in most all of the big desert races and dusty riding areas. We have made them better and better over the years from customer input. In fact the new strap was developed in part from feed back from you Scoundrel. The new wider strap has a thin silicone coating to prevent slipping and you will also find it filters a bit better as we improved the foam quality. Always looking for customer input
Read the may 2012 Dirt Wheels magazine Wolfsnout vs Rz mask comparison. They are on the news stands now.

When in doubt get a Wolfsnout!

After purchasing most available dust masks for riding, I wear and support wolfsnot sport model. Nothing worked as well or as comfortable. When it's hot on the trail you can put water on it an enjoy a cool face.

Re: What's the best dust masks? Rzmasks or ??????

true story:
I talked to the RZ Mask owner for a couple minutes. His booth was much bigger than the photo shows. Had more color masks than I could count. Also had 4 or 5 workers in his booth. Not just the one I showed. All were nice. Next thing I know I am getting my picture taken. Booth livens up. People stop and watch.

Fat forward:
Couple hours later I meet up with my Polaris dealer and salesman. We showed each other all the cool stuff we each got at the show. He asked about the RZ Mask wanting to sell them in his dealership. (that's what the show is for). I said no problem they are over there. They liked me in that booth!
So back we went. More photos with Dawnelle. Booth livens up again. A crowd gathers. Mostly guys and bike related. Dummy me I was the only one who didn't know the name was on her shirt. Everyone else did. Dawnelle said something, I blushed and I couldn't keep a straight face. Keep in mind my dealer is a pastor too.
Anyway they were selling them as fast as they could get them out. Sorry to bore.

Re: What's the best dust masks? Rzmasks or ??????

I have a RZR Mask. I haven't used it for about a year because it squeezes my nose too much and I can't breathe.

I see Wolfsnoutmakes a couple different models. Which model would be best if I don't always wear a full face helmet?

The "All Sport" model has a head strap. The "Pro Race" does not.

Re: What's the best dust masks? Rzmasks or ??????

This is the one you use with or without any type helmet
Wolfsnout® All Sport

The first prototypes of the Wolfsnouts, the face seal went over the top of the users nose. I found that to be an issue especially with goggles as well.
That's what led to the patented under nose design. Probably not perfect for everyone in the world but most people think it's great
.
The breathable sheer elastic strap has a silicone coating to prevent slipping so when placed high on the crown of ones head as in the picture, a helmet can be effortlessly slid over the mask.
