I recently found out I had an extended warranty on my rzr until June 2013.

I purchased the rzr from the original owner after only 300 miles and they never mentioned a warranty, I had to get a copy of the original bill of sale from the dealer who they bought it from to register it in NYS. I looked at the bill and there was a line that said "EXTENDED WARRANTY----$1150" I had my local dealer run the vin and found out Im covered.

About a month ago I replaced my voltage regulator at a cost of $120 and now I need a steering wheel adjuster. Well they won't cover the steering wheel adjuster but they will go back and reimburse me for the voltage regulator. What had been everyones experience with polaris factory extended warranty?????

waste of money. I used to work for a dealership, even they think they are a waste, they rarely cover anything and if they do it is only after a fight.

Well I don't think I would pay $1150+tax for an extended warranty on anything to have them cover a $120 part but this was free to me, it was allready purchased by the previous owner who only rode the machine 300 miles and kept it a little over a year. Their loss... my gain as far as I can see...

a lot depends on your dealer. I have bought it with all three of my machines (500 ATP, 800 X2 and 800 RZR). They have more than paid for themselves overall, although the RZR hasnt had much done (yet).

The X2 is an 07 model and they just put an exhaust manifold on it under warranty a couple of weeks ago. They werent sure they would cover it but it was approved when they ran it. Alot depends on its condition as well, the warranty companies do look at these claims - some make visits and some request parts returned or pictures of the machine.

But you got yours for 'free' - I'd say thats a good thing!

I have a 5 year extended warranty on my Sportsman 1000 XP. So far warranty paid for a front diff, a one way bearing and belt. Now my voltage regulator is toast. Never had a problem with them covering any of it. Extended warranty is well worth it for me. It cost me 2000,$ cad.
