Re: Seafoam

I love this stuff!! If i ever have any carb prob from setting around,I've had good luck pouring new gas and a lil Seafoam in and riding... I havent tried it in fuel-injected but i wont hesitate to if need be.

Re: Seafoam

My boss used this when he had a crack in his intake manifold on his Tacoma. It kept that thing running for much longer than it should. I don't even know what it was does.

He swore by it and never is without a can, it must be some sweet stuff.

Re: Seafoam

That stuff is awesome. I have a 2002 harley fatboy, from the factory they "milk" the tank. Any of you who have ridden a old bike with a steel tank that is past it's prime know, when they get older and have sat,the tanks rust and you get it in your carb. The gas now has something in it that eats that stuff. I was on a month long sabbatical on the harley and it started clogging the carb. Threw a little sea foam in there at the suggestion of a commercial fisherman I'd met on the road, cleared it right up. That stuff works on everything!!!!

Re: Seafoam

Yeah I have a 1998 ford F-250 with 278,000 km's and it had a dad lifter and would tick all the time upon start up until it got good and warm. Dumped a bit in the oil and it is nice and quiet now, even after I changed the oil. I run it in everything now in the gas from time to time just to keep things clean. The F-250 is the only vehicle that I used it in the oil though.

Re: Seafoam

Are most of you guys just running it in the gas or oil and gas? I've run it throgh the vaccum lines on my 90 nissan pickup seemed to help a little.

Re: Seafoam

I have used it extensively to de-carbonize Mazda Renesis rotary racing motors. It definitely cleaned up the combustion chamber and rotor faces. These motors were fuel injected and the sea foam was introduced at a quick coupler connecting the fuel system to the fuel cell. I have never used it in a piston motor but I had a friend who used it to "pickle" V-8 offshore powerboat racing motors that "took the plunge" into salt water and he claimed it prevented internal rusting well.
