If ur talking about tie rod ends satv didn't supply me any and I used stock ones with boot and that's what broke. So use there's in my opinion.

Ok i already dropped a tie rod where it connects to the rack...that big allen head bolt backed out. For some reason i want to sau there was a tephlon spacer in there to act as a steering stop. Am i right? Or does this look right?

Look at your old stock tie rods. I believe That piece you are thinking of is on those. That new bracket that the Allen bolt is going through should act as a stop. But when it backs out and falls to the ground like yours did, there is no longer anything stopping it.

Yes. From the factory only The drivers side has a Teflon spacer that u have now lost. Ur.gonna need a allen head socket.set so u can get that thing tight. I also put some locktite on mine.

I just bent one of the z-rod tie rods this weekend, wasn't even gettin on it, hopefully superatv can also help me out, I only have about 5 rides on my lift. Had to remove the front lift for now.

Really getting discouraged with all these tie rod problems. Have only had mine out on one ride but mud nationals is coming up quick and I really don't want to have to worry about my tie rods the whole time

@ vwtech where did they bend? U may just have old style like I did if just stud bend at tire end.
Checked my brackets at steering box end and the big Allen heads bolts are loose again. Gonna have to tighten before I ride again. Sux... Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk

It bent the threaded part and the heim on the opposite end. I think it has machined threads and not an insert.

Ok if u are talking about tire end then that's exactly what happened to me. My new tire rods with the actual stud from satv are holding up so far.

Oh ok we might have had them installed the opposite way but regardless yeah that's the old style. But damn both of ur ends bent! Double ouch!
