Front wheel bearing specs

Does anyone know the specs on the front bearings on a 2009. My dealer said I have to order the whole assembly to get them, but we all know better. I could possibly get some locally at a parts store today if I had some specs. HELP! I'm supposed to ride on Monday.

If you have one go to a bearing house like King Bearing. Bearing numbers are pretty much universal.

Re: Front wheel bearing specs

talk to a dealer that gave me some dimensions 44x72x33.1. Local bearing house said they don't have anything listed like that.

Re: Front wheel bearing specs

what do you mean by whole assembly. they are about 30 bucks and you take snap ring out of hub and remove old and slide new one in and put back snap ring .. im confused with the whole assembly do you just want to buy the bearing and try to put them into the old housing .

Re: Front wheel bearing specs

I'd like to just get just the bearing. I just went to a several parts websites and they don't even list a part number for the bearing. You have to buy the hub that comes with the bearing. My bearing seems to be seized but the hub doesn't seem to be hurt but I could replace both because I don't know for sure. If I'm going to have to order it, I might just go ahead and get both, just in case.

Re: Front wheel bearing specs

Just found the bearing listed for every other year except 2009. Local shops are morons. Gonna have to cancel my Monday ride and order a couple of bearings. Who is the best to order from on the right coast?

Re: Front wheel bearing specs

Got the bearings from Super ATV and got a new bearing carrier from polaris and the damn bearing just dropped right in the new carrier. No pressing and the bearing is spinning in the carrier. Did Polaris change the bearing carrier also? Now the dealer is telling me I must need to order a new hub, bearing and carrier. WTF, I just want this thing to work. Thinking about getting it fixed and just selling it. Tired of the run-around on all of the obsolete parts on a 2 year old machine. Now I'll bet that they won't take the $100 wrong bearing carrier back.

called them (super atv) and they, of course, said they have never had a problem with them.

Problem is, now I don't know if the problem is with the bearings or the carrier. One new bearing is in the machine at the dealer
and the other seems to be ok.

Re: Front wheel bearing specs

The superatv bearings do not fit in there very tightly at all. Mine dropped right in and the whole bearing would spin around in the carrier. Not good. I took a center punch and made a bunch of divets on the inside of the bearing carriers and then was able to press the bearings with a shop press and i havent had any problems.

I wasn't real thrilled about it at the time.

Re: Front wheel bearing specs

I am thinking the SATV bearing might be small as I replaced my Carrier Hub5135442 and re used my old bearing. The original bearing came out of the old carrier tight and went into the new carrier tight as well. RZR build date 4-27-09.

Re: Front wheel bearing specs

Once again, I guess I got screwed. It seems like every time I want to buy something to improve or repair something, I end up getting the short end of the stick. I just spend $280 on some really nice heims only to get them installed and find that the stud is slightly smaller than the stock one. This means that I'm gonna have to take them to a local machine shop and spend more money to have the right size studs made.

What the crap is wrong with these vendors? We go aftermarket because we want better than stock, instead, we get crap. If your stuff doesn't work, don't sell it!

Now, I need to find someone that can sell me the right bearings. Anyone know where I can get some or am I gonna have to go ahead and get new hubs and bearings from Polaris?
