Super Atv canvas cab ?

Been looking at several different canvas cabs. Ben leaning towards the one offered from Super Atv. Called them monday evening asked a couple ?'s about the material there made of ( such as the weight of material, the fit to frame, removable doors, windows open or not).got an e-mail back yesterday stating the doors arent removable windows do not have zippers. Dont realy care about those options. My main concern is the material there made of. I do a fair amount of icefishing. The last thing I would want to deal with is being 10 miles out on the lake or 26 miles into the apposile islands in -30to-40 and the cab come apart. My main interest in a canvas cab is for weight in the islands the ice could be 4-5" in one spot go ten feet and thers 3'. Being these machines are already heavy enough.

Does anyone on here have or know someone that has one of these Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Re: ? about canvas cab

The Polaris canvas cab is pretty tough, doors are removeable, windows are zippered.

Re: ? about canvas cab

Thanks for the reply. Just not shure about this one offerd from SuperAtv.
I was interested in this one. Cant seam to find any info on it as far as the durability . Did come aross 1 review that gave it 2 stars for the windows coming apart at the stiching. Figured for the price they ask for the cab and windsheild it would be a good deal not shure. Starting to wounder if i wouldnt be better off going with Polaris Cab instead.

Re: ? about canvas cab

Don't get one with a soft windshield. I got one (Atr) when I got my rzr, could NOT see at all at night. I was working out of town, drove it to the entrance of the camp ground, turned back to my trailer and ripped it off never to be used again. I was going to use it for the winter but my full windshield I feel was a far better investment (aside from swirling, need a roof)

And a 600rwhp 03 powerstroke on 37" mud grapplers to haul it all

Recommend the polaris filp-out windshield for most versatility, you will not be disappointed. EMP also has a competing product out as well, both are scratch resistant and about the same price. I have the polaris so can only recommend it fully, but it looks like EMP might have a better latch on theirs.

Re: ? about canvas cab

I have never owned a RZR before. I just bought a xp 900 and plan on installing a polaris soft cab and heater. I am wondering if their will be issues in terms of visibility If i install a regular winshield without a wiper. I am worried about snow and ice accumulating on the windshield from other riders in front of me and falling snow. Any recommendations?

Thanks.

If you are concerned about riding in more than just wind, then I would recommend a glass windshield with a wiper. I have a EMP lexan flip up windshield and it's great to keep the wind down and from a rock hitting you in the face. If you are in an area with the intention in riding in the winter go with the glass and wiper.

Re: ? about canvas cab

I have the polaris soft cab and am very happy with it. The canvas is tuff and fits as tight as a drum. Removeable doors and zippered windows are a big plus. I can easly install the whole thing in about 15 minutes and remove the whole thing in less than 10. I have a EMT full windshield and use rain-X to help keep it clean.

On the negitive side, the doors leak some, but not enough to be concerned about. The side and back windows are plastic and you have to be careful when cleaning them.

I use the summit heater and in mild fall and spring weather, I don't even need to turn it on to ride in my t shirt.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the input! I will definitely get the glass windshield and wiper.

Re: ? about canvas cab

I have the Polaris soft cab and glass windshield. Just got done putting the cab on for the RZR's third winter.

The cab has held up very well. I have gotten a couple of small rips/tears on the edges from going through the stupid forest service gates.

Buy a roll of Gorilla brand black 100mph tape and some round split foam pipe insulation and you can seal up all the little drafts.

I would not hesitate to buy this cab again.

Nice to hear you've had good experience with the cab. I will watch out for those gates ;-)

Got two dainty little hing pins attach the door to the top of the cab and bottom of the door way, the fabric then velcros to either the windshield, or in the case of the flip-out windshield like mine, to the windshield opening.

The doors latch with two strong magnets, not the tightest system for sure, but really easy to take off and put on.

I have almost 6K miles on mine and never remove the soft cab. No rips, no problems, and again if it does fail me, I will buy another just like it.
