Hydro Dipping

I was researching painting my RZR and it looks like Hydro Dipping may be a better solution. Does anyone know where this can be done locally in Southern California? I have been Googling but can't come up with anything! Those of you that have done it can you please tell me how durable it has been so far? Also, how much does something like this actaully cost? One member said they had theirs done for $300. I am looking at doing all of my main plastics on my XP.

one member here does a good business of it. I looked into it. First you need to thoroughly prep your RZR plastics. Then the dip. Then you still need to clear coat over it.

Each step takes t&m. $300 seems low. It might look like $100. His is maybe $700 and looks like a million. Most of those beats the pants off of $300 graphic kits. That's the short version. problem with clear coat is same as your nice truck. Take it past tree limbs and guess what.
My graphics have an overlam. watch the video of me rolling it crushing the front hood in pea gravel three times. You have to look to see the damage.

I now there's a place in Idaho called hydrodip.com that does it. I'm thinking. About doing mine in a carbon fiber look . Friend had a set of fender flares done that looked good

Re: Hydro Dipping

I have a buddy here in Alabama that does this for factory plastics (mostly Yamaha Rhino). If any one is around here and wants it done, just let me know. I'm not sure about price, probably around $300 if you brought him the prepped plastics.

Re: Hydro Dipping

I dipped mine it has held up great. To be fair I'm careful with it around trees etc. It does have a clear coat on top which will help but it will scratch and I don't want a bright blue RZR with a Red scratch!
