Friedman, part of the problem is the dust getting into the air intake slot between the seats.

Andrews08, That rear deflector looks just like the one on my 1970 Gremlin, it worked great. Hats off to your son for thinking outside the box.

Windshields are nice but they are the root of the dust problems

I am inclined to believe that the root of the dust problem is negative air pressure inside the driving compartment. And although I do not have a degree in physics, I am fairly convinced that a non-vented front windshield contributes to/causes negative air pressure.

It has been my experience that the rear window/rear panel assembly was quite beneficial in cutting down on dust inside the driver's compartment.

To those who say that everyone should just toughen up;

Although, I am not a physician, I have every reason to believe that inhailing dust cannot be good for your someone's lungs/health
