Re: How do you keep the dust out of the cab???
I might be making or purchasing an underdash block-off piece. there is a big gap underneath the dash, where i would think alot of dust/dirt would get thru especially since its where the front wheels are. I'll be seeing this weekend how the half windshield works with all the dust and what not.
I have the underdash block-off with the half windshield and still get a lot of dust in the cab. The underdash block-off helped a little but I still think I am going to try the rear window. |

Re: How do you keep the dust out of the cab???
I purchased one from Trail Armor and ended up buying one from Polaris.
Buy the one from Polaris, much easier to install. |

Ahhh gotcha. Who makes a rear window? (Sorry if the brand was posted already). But i'll see how the dust is this weekend. Should be pretty dry up at Gorman.

Re: How do you keep the dust out of the cab???
The front window half or whole causes a vortex behind and in the cab...
The dust is BAD. The block off kit helps. There is a rear clear vinyl window from a company called VDP Vertically Driven Products Wind Stoppers | Rocky Mountain ATV/MC I am currently working on a complete two piece rear window and hope to have it done by this weekend.... Once done I will post for everyone to see and post where I got all the components. Half Black ABS, Vinyl Plastic seamless piano hinge, and clear acrylic. 3/16 like the factory windows |

Re: How do you keep the dust out of the cab???
Here is my HARD rear window
I used ABS plastic for the lower black piece, to avoid scratches from items in the cargo area. I used Clear Acrylic for the top piece. I found a piano type plastic hinge that joins the two pieces together. I will try to find the link for the hinge. Total cost for parts for the window $85.00 My 14 YR old made a wind deflector that we will be installing this weekend, to keep the dust of the back window. (Simular to what you see on A school bus) Last edited by andrews08; November 27th, 2008 at 03:02 AM. Reason: Update |

WOW... Just another typical Smart A$$ that has nothing better to do then to try and degrade the people on the forum.
NineTNine.... If you aren't interested in the use of the forum..." How do you keep the dust out of the cab???" Then why be on it? Why don't you start your own that says " I know everything and I am better then everyone" Or just shut the hell up!! |

Re: How do you keep the dust out of the cab???
That is a nice setup. Where did you find the plastic piece that joins the two peices of the window? I might have to make this mod as well. Let us know how it handles the dust.

Re: How do you keep the dust out of the cab???
ARCHITECTURAL PRODUCTS 800-835-4400
Is where I ordered the "Hinge" From I have been trying to find the part number, but can't seem to locate the receipt. The bottom piece is 11 7/8" Tall The top is 16 1/2 " Tall Both pieces are 48" width I used cardboard to make the bottom template, then slid the hinge on and slid the top window in as you can see in the pictures. I then traced around the "Cage" to make the raidus etc... I sort of went excessive on the clamps but I wanted no rattle... I have run it through a few farm fields here in Idaho and the dust does not swirl back in the cab like it did. I still get a little from under the seats and working on that next. with the same material that is used for boat covers... When I get it done I will post pics also Last edited by andrews08; November 25th, 2008 at 04:22 PM. |

Re: How do you keep the dust out of the cab???
I went to a local tent and canvas company and had them make a back window out of coverlight vinyl and boat glass , with the 1/2 windshield and block off kit I don't get any dust in the cab now . It straps on like the soft top that Polaris makes . Works great !
