Bluduh Problem with UTV Crap frame tubes on RZR S

The installation of the rear tubes is fine. I found on the front the RZR S frame tubes have a seam on the inside and the I.D. of the RZR S frame tubes are a bit smaller than the back tubes. So, I took a die grinder and scribed a slot on the UTV Crap tubes all the way down as straight as I could. This worked for the seam but I still had trouble getting the tubes in as they are in about 6.5" which puts the reinforcing tube ahead of the rear mounting location of the lower a-arm by 1.5". I can't get it any further than this(beating with 8lb hammer). Will this be far enough in for support? You would think if the frame tubes were going to bend it would be behind the rear mounting point of the lower a-arm. Thanks.

Re: Problem with UTV Crap frame tubes on RZR S

Oookay, wasn't complaining, was asking a question as well as letting others know of what I ran into. UTV Crap thought they would work when I ordered them. They haven't tried them on a S either so it was a bit of a guess. How whould have I checked if I'm possibly the first one to try???

Re: Problem with UTV Crap frame tubes on RZR S

So..I have a question

You said the front tube is smaller ... is the ID smaller and the tube the same on the OD. Making it just a thicker walled tube?

Re: Problem with UTV Crap frame tubes on RZR S

I'm guessing it's a bit thicker walled tube. I don't have a standard rzr to measure the O.D. on that tube. But the I.D. is a smidge smaller. The rear tubes slid in without much tapping, so that is what I'm basing the smaller I.D. on.

Re: Problem with UTV Crap frame tubes on RZR S

I know Polaris said they were increassing the tube thickness on the cages ... just wounder if they did it everwere ... its hard to really find out what is different on the S. There is defently incressed gusetting on all the A-arm points.

Are you going to drill and plug weld the add tubes? or are you just welding up the ends?

Re: Problem with UTV Crap frame tubes on RZR S

I think the reason why jonnycat thought you were complaining is because when you look at recent threads it just says Problem with UTV crap......If you read the rest of the thread it does not sound like complaining. But is good to know for s owners and UTV crap
