Have anyone raced any quads and what's the out come ?

I have a RZR and a few quads. Stock RZR does not do so well.

I did beat a KFX700 in a 300' Sand drag but the guy was like 230lbs-260lbs. We ran again and the second time he beat me by a half a bike. This was with the spacer still in though but I would have never gotten to 50+ mph for the spacer to have mattered

I raced a built 400EX through a twisty tight trail for about 1 1/2 miles. He got the holeshot on me entering the trail but I stayed right on him the whole time. I also had a 180lb passenger so I wonder if I could of won if I was alone???

I raced a few quads, both in the woods and on the strip and the RZR does pretty well. I just have the basic stuff like a clutch kit, pipe, bla bla bla. I mean if you're going to be racing quads that are of the sport variety you will have your hands full and will most likely lose in a drag, but utilities are another story. Plus if you can get most of them in the woods you have a distinct advantage because you can really stick your neck out because you don't have to worry about being maimed if you wreck....

I have a stock rzr and stock raptor 700r. The raptor beats it hands down everywhere but this comparison is apples to oranges. Its all about the horsepower to weight ratio. I believe the raptor and rzr to have very comparable horsepower but the rzr weighs more than 2x as much. Having said all this with the exception of motocross style riding I prefer the rzr in every application. Its not at all underpowered in my opinion and the fun of taking a friend beats all!

i raced a 2008 honda fortraxx 420FI 4x4. i was by myself;he out weighs me by at least 100lbs and i smoaked him.....my rzr is not stock look at my signature for info...........will also outrun a polaris sportsman 500 4x4.

My dad and uncle were in the rzr ( 180 lbs each ) and i was on a polaris scrambler 400 ( two stroke ). And with me only weighing around 150, i barely beat them by one length. And it was on a flat dirt road for about a quarter mile.

I have raced a bunch of em in drag races.. I will beat them until the rev limiter kicks in then they will catch and then pass me. You should see the look on their faces, its priceless. Almost every time they ask me "what have you got in that thing?"

Gotta love that turbo
