Smile Street Legal in Utah

I finished registering my RZR for the street this morning. It took a while as the people at DMV are new at this. The young lady who helped me was great. I look forward to cruising around the area tonight.

Re: Street Legal in Utah

I went to the Ogden Office. The mods required are turn signals, a horn, a license plate light, rear view mirrors on both sides. It has to have a safety inspection by someone who can inspect motorcycles and has requested ATV safety added to their motorcycle certification.
You will be charged for both off road and on road fees to register.
The registration will be at you home county, you may not be able to operate in you home area but will be ok in the countys that are approved.
If you have questions see SB181S01--Off- highway Use on Public Highways. from the Utah Gov. web site.

Re: Street Legal in Utah

I have heard that Providence and Hyrum in Cache Valley will pass UTV's to be street legal. Are there more that have jumped on the band wagon? I am hoping Moab will follow suit soon!!

All dealers in Utah will soon do inspections.
Its a state law, its not just a few special areas allowing this.

Re: Street Legal in Utah

You can register it no matter which county you live in. You just need to remember that you can not ride them on the streets in class one counties, or cities with a population of more than 7500. The good thing is Salt Lake county is the only class one county in the state. However there are quite a few cities with a population of more than 7500.
