1/4 windshield

Was wondering if someone makes a 1/4 windshield or can make one with a lip on the tip. Want it made out of mr10 if possible. I took and old piece of Plexiglas and put a piece of angle on the top just to see if it would work for me and it does. The reason I want a lower windshield if that my wife complains about not being able to see out it when its dusty and the 1/4 helps a lot.

Thanks in advance Rick.

Re: 1/4 windshield

Buy a half windshield and cut the bottom off so you get the desired height. It's pretty easy just find where the line is you want to cut it at, use blue masking tape and tape the entire windshield and using a electric saw with a blade made for metal cut on the dotted line then finish with a sanding block to get a nice radiused edge. Using a drill, redrill the hole in the shield if you cut the original off, then use a tapered sanding stone on the drill to remove any rough edges of the new hole. Remove the tape and voila 1/4 windshield.

Re: 1/4 windshield

I'm wanting to do the same as well. I don't like the 1/2 windshield due to the lack of visibility when it's dusty, fogged and/or covered in mud! I just have to get around to doing this!

Thanks, thats what I was thinking about doing. but wanted to see if anyone did one first. Thats how I did it with the one I have now. just couldnt get the bend in it. couldnt get the right amount of heat with the heat gun. I really wanted a blank with the bend. Didnt think about covering with tape first. Thanks again
