my buddy has had tracks on his for about a month now... they have there place... one thing to remember is top speed with tracks is between 25-30.. plus belt seemed to be slippin for him if he was in high and really canned it... but when it is in low it is pretty much unstoppable... he just broke something on the tracks this weekend and rolled a rear track up into the box... (apparently you cant jump very high with them.. he said... lol) i guess he had to try it once

Do you mean cattracks specifically or just tracks in general? I wasn't aware there was a mounting kit for the RZR for cattracks, one isn't listed on atvtracks.net.

The best (but sadly most expensive) track seems to be the mattracks.

The Polaris tracks are a bit weak and flimsy from what I've heard, at least from posts I've read about people using them to go trail riding. They would keep throwing a track and doing You Tube research I've noticed the Polaris tracks seem to be the only ones which I've seen spinning helplessly in mud! It would be embarassing to get stuck with tracks. There is no fitment kit for the Polaris tracks yet but peeps have made their own mounts, including someone on here I recall. An advantage of the Polaris tracks is that they offer the highest speed compared to the others, 50mph! The Polaris tracks are intended for all-terrain. If Polaris actually made a RZR mounting kit (as they promise) I still think they would be a good buy.

The guys that had trouble with the Polaris tracks moved to the Mattracks and they've said to be a lot better for remote trail riding when you want something to depend on. There are the litefoot M3s but they're just for snow use because they have paddles which will fall off. There is a slightly smaller track for all terrain use (litefoot XT), but in the Autumn they are releasing a larger M3-sized track for all-terrain use too (It's probably just the M3 track without the paddles!). Speed of the mattracks is given as 1/3rd reduction - so that's about 37mph on a stock RZR without spacer removed.

Finally, there is the Tatou 4S. It looks the coolest, is pretty cheap, and is the only one that I can fit on a plane by airmail (I've looked into importing a set!). I think the price is going up at the end of August, ummm... which is in a couple of days. I've not seen any comparison discussion between the Tatou 4S and the other tracks so I don't know how they perform. People have bought them say they are great! They are all terrain though the only ones I've seen in use on the RZR are in snow. The Tatou 4S seems the lowest geared of the lot, at 40% reduction - that's 33mph. A RZR owner said they top out around 25mph, though that was in snow and not GPS confirmed. In any case, they're the slowest of the lot.

You shouldn't really be buying tracks for their speed, but the Tatou's would be like running round in low all the time. That's fine if you want tracks for what they're really for, I think the Polaris tracks would be a better choice if you just want them for fun, and the mattracks I would say are the best of the lot in terms of ability - but at a price. I forgot to mention the Tatou UTV tracks, which are bigger (and quite a bit heavier!). They don't do a mounting kit for the RZR yet, I think they are intended for the larger, heavier UTVs. Bigger tracks mean greater floatation and are generally better - but heavier. They would surely be even slower than the Tatou 4S!

All of the tracks are supposed to be as easy as changing a wheel, and they all claim fast change speeds "of a few minutes", though I think 45 minutes in real terms. Each have to have mounting kits installed first which might take a couple of hours, and adds a little more permanent weight to the RZR unless you spend a similar amount of time taking them off.

The tracks weigh a lot - the Tatou 4S are the lightest of all @ 150lbs each. That means - for me at least - fitting them is a 2-person effort. You also have to factor in storage space. Stored together at floor level they would take up similar space to an ATV, so making a strong system to be able to stack them would be best.

I was just looking at buying a set of used TJD Cattracks from a guy on ebay that had them on a mule. They are made out of Canada. The tracks are universal, but require new adapters (so really they are not universal) the sales people gave me a quote for the adapters and parts needed at the whopping price of $841.00 before shipping. I also looked at a set of Mattracks on ebay that sold for Buy it now price of $1500, they also needed adapters and I can't remember the exact cost for them but they were expensive also maybe like 200-400. It seems best to buy these sort of things from current rzr owners only. I was in the process of completing a Mattracks buy from another rzr owner on here, but at the moment I believe he is going with a higher bidder that is suppose to buy them later this week. Just my 2 cents.
