Gated Shifter Help

I recently added PRP GT seats to my 17 XP1K and now I am looking to add a gated shifter. The EMP shifter is #1 on my list mainly since it will do what I need and its the least expensive. #2 is the Trail Control, second due to cost. #3 is the Gear Grabber, last due to cost. I attached a photo of the installed seats so you can see how tight it will be to install either an EMP or Trail Control gated shifter. Its seems as thought the Gear Grabber will fit the best however its about $200 more then the EMP. Have any of you ran into a problem installing EMP or Trail Control gated shifters with PRP GT seat or other A/M seats?

How about the cheapest route and install the shifter parts from the Gold LE rock crawler. $100 for the parts and everything still looks stock. I have all the parts and will be putting it in my XPT in the next week. You have to fab one bracket but it looks really simple to do. Search the forum, there is a thread on it with part numbers. I will post a thread and pictures once I get mine it.

I have the emp gated shifter and prp seats it fits tight to the seats but it fits. I love the shifter and the seats

Trail Control doesn't take up any more room than stock, maybe a little taller boot that should be no issue. The gating is all inside the console.

I have PRP seats with EMP speed shifter no issues is it tight...yes does it fit yep

I just finished my prototype Shift Limit and installed today for evaluation. Adds on to your existing shifter. Park and High locked out when activated. This knob on the right side of the console is the only visible non stock part after install

I'm still about 2-3 weeks out on sales though. Finalize design, material procurement, and jig building. Price not set yet either, shooting for $90-125 shipped. 45ish minute install.

Shifting in general can be not so smooth. Many times you pass the gear you want or have to look at what your doing to get the gear you need.

The gated shifter is exact and positive especially useful when immediate reverse or forward is needed. Like to stop a roll or dangerous movement in wrong direction. Most of these shifters separate out reverse and Low forward "gears".

So instantaneous changes between the two are easily made.

Go over to UTube and search them, watching may explain better. Its one of the best additions I have made!
