What RZR to Buy??? New to this world

So I have been looking and researching RZRs over the past couple years. Finally got the wife on board to sell the motorcycle and buy a RZR. I live in Indy and I'm looking at used RZRs to get me in to the sport. Most of the riding will be fairly flat since I'm here in Indiana. I am currently looking at four different used RZRs. Out of these which would you lean towards with the descriptions below?

1) $7700 is what he said he would take for this one. I have a 2013 rzr 800s it has a 2093 miles An 190hrs it has the fox shocks , newer itp tires its in very good condition with regular trail rash.

2) No issues mechanically, runs great. Oil changed about 100 miles ago. Has some scrapes and scratches that come with 2400 miles. The corner is broken off the driver side lower plastic rocker panel. Rocker panel is $50 from Polaris. It has not been rolled. My absolute bottom is $8800. Not $8750. Not $8799. Its $8800, you will not find a 2015 for that price anywhere around.

3) $10,000condition: good
make / manufacturer: polaris
model name / number: Rzr 900XP
size / dimensions: 900
2014 Polaris Rzr 900XP stealth black model. This was the last model with the 88hp engine. Rzr has 1513 miles with 129 hours. 3000lb winch, led rock lights and interior lights, UMP intake system. New belt and battery, all recall work completed. Has normal scratches from being rode.

4)Selling my 2012 Polaris RZR 800s! Runs great just dont have the time to ride it anymore. It has 1090 miles on it currently. Comes with metal doors, led light bar, soft top, and full windshield. I just replaced the rear wheel bearings and new brakes all the way around. Great machine!! Asking $7,000 obo

Any advice or suggestions on these would be welcomed. Looking to spend 9k or less preferably. Thanks for your help.

Re: What RZR to Buy??? New to this world

what kind of riding are you going to be doing ?
All good machines the newest 2014 900 is the most powerful but the highest price .The 2013 has nice seats and harnesses ,doors, windshield and stereo for the creature comforts.
$2000 difference buys alot of accessories you will want later and the bedside crack isn't a huge deal if you plan to ride a little agressive! The 2012 is lowest price and has low miles and looks well taken care of . OKAY i just saw the 50 inch 900 trail that looks really good and is a decent price ,the power is really good but the trail is a little bit tippy with the power but if riding a lot of tight trails and mud this is a great machine. It's never easy figuring out whats going to work until you get out and ride. Bill

Another option might be a new unit that is a sport with power steering and a warranty ?

My vote is the 900xp. That is cheap. I loved mine and rode the crap out of it for 3yrs. Rides better more power and has power steering. No brainer. Plus it's my favorite color.

I would say riding mostly trails and open areas along with our small hills of central Indiana.

I think if you can afford a few extra bucks go with a new 570S. Snappy motor and will go most anywhere a bigger machine will. New is always better! I loved my 570!

Re: What RZR to Buy??? New to this world

My gut feeling is the xp has been rode hard and put up wet the trail is tippy narrow wheel base the 12 800 looks to be well taken care of and would probably be my pick without actually seeing them,if you can get the rebate on a 570s that would put it at 10,900 and nothing like new and the 570 motor will run wth the 800 all day long

Be aware that if you buy an 800 you need to change the pinion nut.

I appreciate all the feedback. Seems like it is similar to the way I feel. Sometimes I say buy new then other times buy an 800 for cheaper and see how much I actually use it. Then the man in me says horsepower and suspension is the answer.

Re: What RZR to Buy??? New to this world

There's a member on here that has a used 800 for sale, and it sounds to be in good condition. I don't personally know him, but he's located in Wisconsin.

I'll see if I can find his post from earlier today...

**EDIT**
Found it, here you go...

I linked this thread to his thread also. His machine sounds like it has a lot of good stuff on it.

Maybe we can meet up and hit the Badlands once you get a machine?

Re: What RZR to Buy??? New to this world

Just watched this video of an offroad park hour and half from Indianapolis ,if this is the type riding you would be doing the trail 900 with wheel spacers would be a pretty good rig if you didn't want to buy a new 570S.....

Re: What RZR to Buy??? New to this world

I'm new to the sport and I did my fair share of research, my uncle has a CFMoto 800 and my friends ride a Maverick 100 0and Rzr 1000.
first I was gonna get an 800 and my state of mind was is I'm starting and I don't need that much power. My friends advice me don't get anything less that a 900. I'm Glad I listened , I got a 2013 900XP and I'm very please with it.
I'm in my 40's and believe me I'm not looking to ride aggressive or get injured also I don't like to beat on my machines, but is nice to have the power when you need it.
