Are there any other issues??

It seems every utv has their own issues...Teryx owners complain of heat, Rhino owners complain of lack of power. My question is besides the air filter problems I have seen posted here, are there any other "big" issues or problems I need to be aware of if i were to purchase a RZR? I would be looking at an '09...Thanks!!!

Re: Are there any other issues??

Yes, there is one other major issue that I suspect 99% of rzr owners have, but is rarely discussed...

Once you get a rzr, it becomes the focus of your life. Nothing else matters. You dream about it, you tinker with it, you ride, you check forums 35 times a day, you buy accessories and equipment, it's all you talk about (even to uninterested friends that think you're a dork for talking about your rzr so much), you really want it to be your primary vehicle for all travels, etc.

So far Polaris has done nothing to address this issue, and actually seem to be making it worse as they release new models and new accessories.

Re: Are there any other issues??

Yes, captnbombpop totally hit it right on, I agree with these guys 100% I have been riding for about 15 years and I always loved it more than any other recreational activity, but since I got my rzr, it has taken riding to a whole new level !!! Once you get a rzr, you will understand what we are talking about. But I have not heard of any other issues besides the intake problem. If there were any issues in the past, I believe they were minor problems that were immediately taken care of by recalls or a simple dealer fix. I only have about 110 miles on mine but I have not a single complaint so far. I wouldnt trade my rzr for any atv or other utv by far. I actually was a bit hesitant on buying one because of the steep price of $10,300, but trust me, and I am sure most eveyone will agree.......they are well worth the price tag!!!!

Re: Are there any other issues??

With me being the biggest Polaris Cheerleader here(grin)...I agree with all the responses above. Pay attention to maintenance and more importantly these forums for what to do and you will have tons of fun. Start off slow with accessories and mods and just enjoy your riding. My wife just decided that she wants one also. I'm thinking that she gets mine and I go for the new RZR-S to play with...GRIN...

It's a very addictive ride from the first to the last of the day..!
