Folks, sorry for the delay as I am just now getting home. Ok, lets dive in.
First, yes the coupon will be for a filter and ring along with a letter for maintenance. But, please do not stop reading there as there are some important points to consider.
#1. Polaris has included EVERY VIN for the filter and ring.
#2. Just because the coupon is for the filter and ring, that is not necessarily all that yours may have done to it. Polaris, as always, will be working with and through their dealers to assess each machine and provide what is needed on a machine by machine basis. The only standard for every machine will be the filter and ring. If you ride in areas that are not as dusty as some, this may be all you need. If you ride in the severest of terrain, then expect to see more done. This will be a decision that Polaris makes with your dealers input.
#3. According to Polaris, just the filter and ring takes care of the problem in the vast majority of cases. Not every case though, so that is the reason for all the different pieces.
#4. Probably the most important statement I wrote was the one that I have put in BOLD print. Please read this carefully.
No, you are not going to be left in the cold or to foot the bill on this. Will everyone get the same stuff, probably not. It will depend on the situation. BUT, this matter will not be closed until EVERYONE'S machine is fixed to their satisfaction. There may be a case of someone who just can't be satisfied no matter what, but, this is a pretty definitive statement on just how serious Polaris is on getting this issue behind them. You must remember that the solution they have come up with has been proven to be the best solution to make everyone's machine live up to its potential. This is not some half baked, meager attempt to shut people up. Lets work with Polaris and see how this turns out. Remember, read the paragraph in BOLD again. I do believe they are serious, at least in my conversations with them, I believe them. PRC Ranger Club, LLC :: Index

Re: from pcr
Sounds good and I hope they come through for everyone, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Re: from pcr
I still don't see what it has to do with PRC as Polaris is the one issuing the update and engineered the change.

Re: from pcr
Im' with RZRider, until I hear or get something from Polaris ai won't believe it until then. Sounds like PRC is acting as a agent for Polaris, if so are they also going to help the people who do not like the fix or who will want something else ie: new motor, new RZR?

Re: from pcr
where and how do i get this coupon. and when. . . and how do i prove that i ride in harsh enough conditions to get everything done, if they dont do this for everyone isnt that like profiling. . . "and profiling is wrong" in the words of Ron White.

Re: from pcr
I READ THE PRC POST..BULLSH!T...NEW FILTER MY ASS..if thats the case, I want my money back on the other 2 I bought"not by choice, added during service"...the only way to keep dust out of the throttle body with the current airbox set up is park the rzr in a swimming pool..Yea the filter may be better, but will I need to clean it every 4 hours???Hey polaris I love my RZR great job..but if you dont mind I would like a new air box and a snorkle kit pointed to the sky with a pre-filter on the top.55 HOURS ON MINE AND FILTER # 3 IS A UNI...AND I ASSUME I'll be CLEANING IT EVERY TIME I TURN RIGHT.I WOULD SNORKLE BUT MY DEALER ADVISED ME NOT TO..Could void my warrenty if any issues come up, like dirt in engine!!I'm getting good at cleaning these things..WAM BAM THANK YA MAM
