Re: Lets discuss rollovers!!

My wife and I were riding with some friends and pulled up beside them on a dirt road. The grass was really tall on the side of the road and we did not see a big wash. The back tire fell in it and we rolled down in the ditch. Not quite upside down but we were both wearing our seat belts and not hurt at all. I was laughing and my wife was not ofcourse. My razor is stock other than the wheels and tires. They are the 14" polaris ones. There was no damage whatsoever. Not even a scratch.

Re: Lets discuss rollovers!!

How do you guys extract your RZRs when it's just fell over while trail riding, or in chadngdl's case where he fell down a bit of a dip! i.e. not when cornering at speed but when the terrain just tips you over.

It seems if you pull it back up straight again the terrain will just tip you back up again! What's the technique? Am thinking particulary when there are just two of you so you can't get a whole gang of peeps to lift and pull/push it about so it's stable.

Re: Lets discuss rollovers!!

I've got a winch in the nose, but also a hand winch for getting it the right way up. My point is, let's say you tip up over a rock because you didn't notice the ditch the other side. If I winch it up straight, it surely will just fall over again! What's the trick to get round that? Use the front winch to pull it forward? I might need to pack 2 land anchors, but that suggests an air of pessimism.

Re: Lets discuss rollovers!!

i have rolled over 3 times rock crawling and so far just scratches except one time when i rolled and it took awhile to winch myself back up and the engine oil went up the breather tube into the foam above the air intake and into the clutch intake .so needless to say i had to be towed home and spent 3 hrs cleaning the clutches.but other than that everything is great
