I need to insure mine and am not worried about collision...just comprehensive in case it's stolen or if it burns up....

Thoughts???

Re: RZR - insurance coverage?

I carry full coverage with no liability. It cost about $200 a year. Its worth every penny of that IMO. It will also cover if you have a wreck and do alot of damage. I think it is a $500 deductable. Also covers theft and fire. My provider is State Farm.

Re: RZR - insurance coverage?

I have full coverage at American Family Ins. with $500 deductible also and it's around $180 w/ liability. Cheap peace of mind. I have car, truck and sleds with them too so I think discounts are applied for multiple vehicles.

Re: RZR - insurance coverage?

Mine is through Progressive with full coverage and liabilty, it's like 280 a year. I needed it to be street legal and I'm glad I have it after thinking about it burning up or getting stolen. This thing cost way too much not to have some kind of insurance.

Re: RZR - insurance coverage?

Progressive. Full collision , comp and big-dollar liability. With all the lawsuits you keep reading about of people getting a million $ judgment for suffering a hangnail, it doesn't make sense to settle for the standard $40,000 limit Progressive defaults to in their online quotes. $1M liability only cost about $15 more.

Re: RZR - insurance coverage?

Up here in Canada lawsuits are not as common as the USA.I don't think you can even get insurance for a ATV.I might be wrong but where I live theft is almost nill.If I roll over I don't mind paying but if a machine with 59 hours and 2 hours since a new motor gets put in by a dealer burns up I don't think insurance would cover anyway.Obviously someone is responsible"dealer in my case"

Re: RZR - insurance coverage?

Im only 24 years old keep that in mind. I have USAA insurance by far the best insurance company out there. I pay 150$ a year for full coverage with a 100$ comprehensive and a 200$ collision deductible. IT covers everything that could happen to it and my medical payments are 100k per person in each vehicle! VERY good coverage I feel like im stealing it! Plus I get dividends each year from profits.

Re: RZR - insurance coverage?

I, too, have Progressive with $500,000 liability, $250 deductible, $3000 in accessory coverage, and coverage for damage to the trailer that hauls it to the trails. Total cost here in Texas is $277 per year which I feel is a cheap peace of mind for a $10,000+ toy.

How many of you are insuring your RZR on your Auto Policy and how many of you are insuring your RZR on a seperate policy?

Re: RZR - insurance coverage?

The RZR is on its own policy and I am the only driver listed. I have motorcycle and auto insurance on separate policies with other carriers. Progressive was the best deal I could find on the RZR. Other carriers did not insure ATV's.

Re: RZR - insurance coverage?

Why in the hell are my quotes coming in over $640 for a whole year????

I do not have any violations, accidents, etc...and my credit is about 700.

I got a quote from progressive and they quoted $840 a year. WTF????

EDIT: I just received a quote from Geico and they came in lower than most at $415 a year. Still seems expensive considering I don't drive it as much as my car and my car insurace is about $600 a year.

Re: RZR - insurance coverage?

My quote was high when I did it on the internet. I went to my agent and the price fell substantially.
