ok, so I'm an idiot - rolled it...
Well, we were up at the camp for the week and out for a ride when we ran into some others who told us about a sand pit that was open to riding. Great! Let's head there! so we did. The place was a blast!! No problem at all on the inclines....
But I did have a bit of a problem when I forgot that I had it in AWD and tried to cut it too sharp on the flats....
I had the safety gear on so all I got was a nice B&B mark from the belts and banged my knee a little. And all in all the RZR came through ok except for a hole in the right side that I can't pound back in... There were also a few busted body "rivets" but I can take care of those. It amazed me that the gas tank didn't spill a drop even though it went over on that side.
Was kinda freeky when it went over...kinda like slow motion. Remember the guy on the tricycle on Laugh-In? (My apologies to you younger folks) That's kind of what if felt like.
I was very glad that Nancy had gotten out after her turn to take some pics! But I wouldn't have done that with her in it anyhow.
A friend of mine pulled me back up and off we went.... a lot wiser
I guess you're never to old to be stupid...

I'm glad you came out ok, were you wearing a helmit?
The "cookies" are suppost to prevent those holes.

That had nothing to do with being in AWD. If you turned that hard you would have done it in 2WD....trust me.

Re: ok, so I'm an idiot - rolled it...
Yes, I had the helmet, belts, safety goggles, and nets as always. Their seatbelts really hold you where you are, even if on your side. Getting out of it was a bit of a challenge though.
I don't think the cage got bent but will inspect it closer the next time I go back up.
Thanks for the cookies tip. I really didn't think I was going to need them 'cause where we are there really isn't anywhere (I thought) to be nutz. But I didn't know about the sand then.... I'll look into getting them. There's gotta be a way to patch the right side. If I could just get it back somewhat into place and then put a fiberglass patch over it I think it'd hold. Gotta do some research on it.
Yeah, I cut it pretty hard to the left as you can see from the tracks in the background of pic 2. I thought it was probably due to all wheels trying to go straight and digging in as opposed to the front freewheeling but apparently not. In either case I learned that trying donuts in a rzr is a no-no. I'll use that philosophy on any and all surfaces in the future!

Re: ok, so I'm an idiot - rolled it...
Damn same exact thing happened to me. I* know what you mean by the slow motion thing. I have a bigger hole in mine though. I rolled mine on a gravel road in 4 wheel peel and forgot to take it out after unloading it, I had it in to load it.

Re: ok, so I'm an idiot - rolled it...
I don't think the cookies help on a good roll, I rolled mine so good I've got the round punch through and the square one from the frame that's about 2 1/2" in from where the round one pokes through lol....

Re: ok, so I'm an idiot - rolled it...
check the cage right above the seat where it runs into the bed. see if the gap is the same on each side...could've been like me and warped the whole cage. but i did flip mine twice out through the woods. words of wisdom..don't do a 180 running 30mph on a gravel road. did 4600 worth of damage. didnt scratch the lights on top..dont know how but alot of other stuff was bent/broke/disfigured. to pop that plastic hole back in on the fender get a knife and trim a little on the back side of the plastic sticking out..should pop right back in...then put a sticker over it..haha

i rolled mine and where the roll cage goes down through the plastic behind the seat it is not the same on both sides . looks likes the roll cage is pushed in about 3/4 inch on the passenger side . how do I fix this ?

Get a new cage, the integrity on that one is compromised. The stock cages are junk anyway. Just look at it this way, how much is it worth NOT to be in a wheel chair the rest of your life because you broke your neck?
