Throttle Jerking Fix???
Okay, took the brand new 08 RZR out for it's first voyage. Did great except the frickin low speed head jerking, whiplash inducing throttle response! What is the fix for this? Did some searches, but no real answers. What are you guys doing to fix this problem? Other than this issue, the RZR kicks A#*!

I was concerned about this issue when I got my new RZR a few weeks ago but haven't experienced the problem. I've taken it out for two trips to the Dunes (about 150 miles on it so far) and have only experienced very slight jerking at low speeds over severely whooped roads. And I mean really whooped out roads. If I hadn't read all the concerns I'd never even realize it was a problem. Weird.

Re: Throttle Jerking Fix???
Spring, and I bought an aftermarket gas pedal on ebay. Haven't seen the pedal recently, however.

Re: Throttle Jerking Fix???
Seems like I have seen talk that Polaris added a heavier spring in later generation? Is this true? Gen 2 or Gen 3?

Re: Throttle Jerking Fix???
I assume mine is a Gen 3? Came from the factory on the 18th of this month and I just took it out. Jerky as a Mutha at low speed! Good to go as long as you stay on the throttle.

Your problem can be easily fixed. Get the spring and aftermarket gas pedal.

Re: Throttle Jerking Fix???
I bought an aftermarket pedal for mine tried it 3 rides and just didn't like and took it off and put the factory pedal back on, went to town got a sponge and put it under the pedal and problem solved for $1.99. JMO, don't waste your money on a new pedal, but if you really want one I need to get rid of mine , it's a trail armor pedal.

Re: Throttle Jerking Fix???
I put foam under mine and it works better than the spring for less.

Re: Throttle Jerking Fix???
Okay, I ordered the Heavy duty spring, but I'm all for the sponge or foam. Any pics or how to's? What kind of sponge or foam? How do you install it ect? Let me know, and I will give it a shot! Thanks

Re: Throttle Jerking Fix???
I just picked up a sponge for car washing at Wally world. Just slide it under the pedal, was suprised how well it worked.

Until it got wet?
I like the simplicity of the idea though! And after one or two squeezes of the throttle I imagine it's back to it's dry-level performance pretty quick.
I ordered the KMS spring. Not fitted it yet because my RZR is somewhere in the Atlantic still.

Re: Throttle Jerking Fix???
Here is a post all about it: http://www.rzrforums.net/general-rzr...ack-forth.html
I solved mine by working the pedal more with my toe, rather than my whole foot on the pedal. I keep my foot flat on the floor therefore the weight of my leg is not bouncing on the pedal. Other's made a wedge or used a car wash sponge under the pedal. It is all what works best for you.
