Re: dust problem

you need a rear window. You will still have some dust in the cab come from under the seats. I have had the same issues as you but most of it was solved after I built a rear window.

Re: dust problem

I've heard that, too. And it's a lot cheaper than a forced-air helmet. LOL

Re: dust problem

Have you tried a half windshield? I was told (and it seems to work) that this is the best solution. You can adjust the height of the windshield by moving it up or down on the row bars. Mine has about a 2" gap in the bottom, between hood and windshield. This also helps break up the vortex effect that sucks dirt and dust into the cab area.

Re: dust problem

I have the full windshield, rear window and roof. I "sealed" the bottom with some black rubber carpet runner from ACE for less than $10. A couple of doors and I will be hermetically sealed!

Re: dust problem

I bought a Direction 2 rear window. http://Rear window And filled the space in under the cab with round pipe insulation. It was only a couple of bucks compared to the $30 for the fancy patch. Works great.

Re: dust problem

There is also a dust shield that can be mounted under the dash to seal the cab from the dust under the hood and fenders.

Re: dust problem

Part #2876900 is the underdash block kit from Polaris. Also comes with two blocks for the rear fender well. Seems to help keep some of the dust out.

Reinstall the roof and remove the windshield. This WILL decrease the dust a lot. All the other suggestions will help some but this will do the most. Actually, I take my half wind shield and turn it upside down, mount it at the top under the roof line(using only two clamps at the bottom of the shield). Sticks out a bit on the top edges so not the best looking but works very well for summer time use. Ron

Re: dust problem

I plug the drain holes with duct tape before I ride and then unplug when I wash out, cheap and functional.

Re: dust problem

All the above tips will help but NOTHING will keep out all the fine dust from the trails in Cheboygen and Montmorency counties. I just got back from 10 days up there. The only fix that works is to STAY IN FRONT! Good thing ya got a Rzr!!

Re: dust problem

No problem staying in front. But the roads are so dusty and trails that stuff still comes in from under the cab and the back.
