rev-limiter question...
i here u guy`s talking about hitting the revlimiter. what does it do?
i know this sounds dumb but i have never hit mine.
i have 27 inch tires..gibson exhaust..k&n filter..clutch spacer removed.
i have been on a paved road with a slight down hill run and saw 65mph on the speedo. with no change in engine sound however i don`t know what hitting the limiter sounds like....

Re: rev-limiter question...
I have a question about the rev limiter. I read here that the motor is rev limited at 5400 stationary, but 6000 moving. If I mash down on the throttle from a dead stop in gear, it sounds like it hits the rev limiter for a brief a fraction of a second as it is accelerating. Maybe just a small pop. Then is fine all the way to top speed. It does it at about the same spot every time. At first, I thought I was hitting the rev limiter due to tire spin, but i tried it on the pavement it it still does it. If I roll on the throttle it does not do it. Does anyone else have this issue?

Re: rev-limiter question...
The clutch doesn't shift fast enough to load the engine off the line so you hit the limiter for a split second. By the next ooom, the clutch is already shifting out and won't over-rev. Clutch kit will make it shift faster.

Yep gotta love rent a cars.
But its not going to hurt you Rzr if you just put it in park and floor it till you hit limiter. Thats why the limiter is there to keep from over revving and blowing shit up.

Re: rev-limiter question...
if your only hitting it for a sec off the line i wouldnt worry but wile out riding you might want to add a few grams weight to the clutch this will help that.... or just slow your foot down a sec....lolthat will help it shift out sooner might help your accl of the line play around and see....mine used to hit it real hard and alot out riding i went from 64 gram weights to 70 now its in the sweet spot for me big diff in driving

Re: rev-limiter question...
Mine does it, my brothers does it, I think they all do with the stock set up.
