uni air filter

Just purchased new uni air filter for my RZR and it will not work,it is 1/2" too long and air box lid will not fasten,according to the part number on the bag it is the right part,has any one else run into this problem?

push harder its not in far enough

Watch that the filter collar doesn't creep forward as you tighten the clamp. Keep a finger on the collar where it contacts the metal washer as you tighten and don't over-tighten--just enough that you can't twist the filter on the plastic intake tube.

yep ive had to belt sand a 1/4 in or so off some of them to fit good

I thought there was an issue with UNI filters and the gen3 RZR because there was a dimensional change around the airbox somewhere (same way the KMS intake has different gen1/2 and gen3 fittings).

The new Uni filter may have been developed using a Gen1 Rzr--which didn't have the metal washer on the tube to limit how far the filter could be pushed on.

And just what IS the difference between the old & new Uni for Rzr?
