has anybody thought of putting a yamaha 4 stroke 1000 cc. motor in a rzr i have a 04 yamaha warrior snowmobile with a kick ass 150 hp motor with turbo it will put out over 245 hp i was just wondering if any of you mad men have thought of a way to a stuff this monster motor in a rzr yet just a thought if so im hacking up my sled .

I got to cbr 600 motors we have looked at it but it would take some time and money to get to work right and be balanced

I reckon the KTM engines would be good, they're already in use in a couple of the Polaris quads, so it's "keeping it in the family". Even the 690cc KTM engine puts out the same power as the Polaris 800 unit and it will rev a whole lot higher, and higher revs means higher speed (and stiffer CT spring I should think).

The biggest problem surely though will be the transmission and squeezing it all in.

yeah but, a gear bangin 15000 rpm motor just sounds better. and at 160 rear wheel hp a gsxr 1000 motor should would be fun.

I have thought about the Yamaha Sled motors a lot. Mate it with a RPM gear box with a CVT imput shaft and you are good to go.. FAST!
