Question to buy or not to buy a rzr...

Hello everyone,
i am seriously contemplating whether or not to purchase a rzr. i have read alot of bad comments in reguards to all the recalls on them. i have never been a polaris fan but after test driving and researching the rzr i must say that i'm very impressed. i'm mainly worried about the build quality and durablility. i was recently diagnosed w/ degenerative disc disease in my lower back(only 27 yrs old) and own a kawasaki prarie 650 2002 that has been pampered its entire life. it hurts me to ride the prarie now and i know that a rzr isn't going to help my back but i think that it would be a hell of alot better than the solid rear axle prarie. any suggestions positive or negative would be much appreciated. thanks in advance-

matt

Re: to buy or not to buy a rzr...

I have a Gen1 RZR and had to have the air box fix done. Not a big deal I think at some point I'll add some sort of additional filter. I also think I'll get an extended warrantee before mine expires at the end of the year just to be covered. I love my RZR and have no regrets. I think there are a few things to add to make it better such as a UNI filter and some wheels and tires but overall it a lot more sporty of a design than all other UTV's. And it has more power! I have a bulging disc and I must say that my back has been stiff at times driving the RZR. However, it's still the best UTV ride. If I were you I would add a suspension seat and aftermarket shocks. That would make the RZR a smooth ride on the back. If you can afford it long travel would make it even smother.

We have three RZR's one 07 and two 08. We have not had any problems and we ride hard. We had suspension seats designed for us (HotRide4U). It is an inexpensive way to create a smoother ride. We make custom rides for the disabled as well as our custom line. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Thanks ,
Kelly

It's going to come down to what you expect a side-by-side to ride like at the level you abuse it (or not) at. "Build quality and durability" is a function of the latter and ride quality is often determined to be the diference between what you demand out of the box as compared to how much you're willing to pay on down the road to make it that way.

I think that you have to think of what's most important to you in a side-by-side (first) as related to how you'll use or abuse it and ask the same question. IMO.
