Polaris Motors

Since this is my first Polaris I was just wondering why there motors sound different than all other atvs?

someone jump in and correct me if im wrong but the polaris motors are even firing engines are they not?

Really...
They do have a unique sound. Everyone tells me that now that I put my exhaust on.
Are these over head cam motors or pushrod?

I belive they are pushrod and even firing. You park one up beside a Yamaha, Kawasaki, Honda the polaris sounds different no doubt. No big deal I was just wondering how there engines sounds different.

Most other sxs have 1 cyl engines. Kawasaki uses a v twin engine that has a different sound because it is uneven firing. The great RZR has an inline 2 cyl even firing engine, so it has a unique sound. Of course the best sound.

I can agree with that!!

Does anyone know what compression ratio our 760cc has and what are the bore sizes?
Arent our engines rated at 50 hp from the factory and usually make 32-35 or so on wheel dyno?
