Re: credit score to buy rzr?

I had good credit before my divorce(700+) range. My ex had applied for 3 credit cards before my divorce was final and failed to tell me about them. 2 yrs after my divorce after she has maxed all 3 out and defaulted on them the credit card companies started calling me. I was in total shock and called a lawyer to see what my options were. He advised me I was legally responsible and couldn't do anything about it. I called the companies and tried to work out a plan where I canceled the cards and agreed to pay if they lowered the interest to a reasonable amount. They wouldn't so i filed bankruptcy on the CC. This was 6 yrs ago. Even though I kept my house and my new truck, my credit is still only about 515. My new wife has a credit score of 700+ but only has 1 vehicle on her credit history. We were able to get $9000 financed for the RZR at 6.9%. I was very surprised they offered us that low of an interest rate. Slowly but surely my credit is getting better. DANG ex wives............ She has cost me a lot of money in interest in the last 6 yrs..............

Don't stretch to buy a rzr.
X10 Bignoze!

The wife and I monitor our credit VERY closely and have been running in the 775 to 825 range for several years. You want to USE your credit to maintain it. Experts will say your best credit score is to utilize 3-5 credit accounts using no more than 1/3 of your available balance.

Not trying to call anyone out, but I would never pay cash for anything this expensive. Keep all that money in the bank and let it work for you!

dont remember, all i know was polaris credit plan would only cover 10k of the purchase, had a small bank loan to cover rest.maybe a few years ago it be coved in full for me,dont see why besides the economy now-a-days.i've had loans steadyily since 1994 with no late payments, bad checks or bankruptcy.but i got my machine, its all good.then i pay it off in 2 years and start all over again with a car loan.seems to be a endless cycle.:lol

Re: credit score to buy rzr?

Mine is 759. They gave me a zero-down loan covering the whole thing at a 3.99% interest rates for 36 months. I will have it paid off long before then. The finance person commented on how fast the approval came back for me. Usually it takes 15 minutes or so to get an answer, but mine came back almost immediately. It might have something to do with the fact that I've purchased two $25K cars in the last two years, one is paid off and the other is within $4K of being paid off, and I've been paying about $400 extra on my mortgage every month for the last 8 years.

I think the banks are starting to loosen the purse strings again, slowly, depending on credit scores.

Re: credit score to buy rzr?

main concern is credit to debt ratio = how much you make a year to how much you owe you can have a 600 score and get approved if you your credit to debt is in order and not maxed

thats true butnot all of it.... they also look at value and loan amount.... no bank want to loan 18k on a 12k toy. being most atv/utv loans are "toys" they consider them a high default risk.

if there loaning 3k on a 12k toy then they are what the bank calls "fail proof loans"... they have a 12k toy for collateral on a 3k loan so they will actually make money if you default IF they recover the collateral...

alot of things go into the decision of the bank

All of these things are just factors in the equation though. They financed 100% of mine (zero down loan) with 3.99% interest, based on my score and history. Obviously with your salary, score, and credit history, that wasn't an option for you.

But my hat is off to you, if, at 22 years old, you were able to put down $10K on a toy. Your credit score and history will get there, I'm sure. Unless you're a meth dealer and do everything with mostly cash.

Yes there is def. alot of factors that go into loans. ! thing i forgot to mention are student loans.... there a beach!

I bought mine used for 11k.. i had to also drive 17hrs for it but in the end it save me some $ for all the aftermarket goodies!

btw whats wrong with selling meth!? just kiding! i have a very good girl who manages my money well as i have a serious toy buying problem!
