In the market
Wife cleared me to get a rzr for father's day. I've been doing a little reading and I see people refering to gen1, gen3 etc. Have they allready started making changes to this machine. I was thinking of going used but i'd want the latest version if they're tweaking it. Thanks

Re: In the market
Most all the changes are very minor variations. Different latches on the hood, small change to footwell area, under seat storage and battery box, foam shoved into various spots in the intake. Anyone else chime in....

Re: In the market
You won't find a better deal on one a 2008 with only 170 miles and a ton of acessories, 27" mags and wheels, wheel flairs, super stereo and lots of other stuff. Here's a link to mine I'm selling on Craigslist. I just posted it 10 minutes ago. At this price you could afford to ship it.

Re: In the market
It's a long story. Nothing wrong with the RZR, it has to do with my relationship with my former fiance being dissolved.

Re: In the market
If you are looking to buy a new RZR off the dealership floor, it will be a gen 3, so you don't really have to worry about the slight changes. I asked my sales rep. what changes were made from the gen 1's and my gen 3. He looked at me kinda stupid and said all RZR's are 08's and he wasn't aware of any changes...sales reps! It's said when the owners know more than the guys selling the units.

Re: In the market
I know about sales people. I asked them at our dealership last week if they had any Scramblers....The saleman looked at me and asked "Who makes that?" LOL, I said "Polaris" He said he never heard of it.

Re: In the market
Thanks for all the replies. It seems there's not a ton of difference between them. Azeer I wish you were closer so I could look at it.

Re: In the market
That's OK Vapors. I bet I have at least 100 hours installing all the acessories on this thing. I even did a clutch and engine silence on it, cut out almost all engine sound from the cab and looks really nice with rubber under the seats and back panel. I spent a lot of time doing it and it looks like a factory install. Keeps dust from coming up from below also.
